Even though I'm in Rome, real mountains begin in Abruzzo, so a long ride! This is Campo Imperatore, it has a posh name, but very cinematographic nature. Unfortunately, the most beautiful part is inaccessible due to snow.

San Marino is a sovereign state, but it looks exactly like Italy. You wouldn't even notice you crossed the border without a sign. It's a pity that era of city-states came to the end, governance without nationalism would be a great idea.
