1957 में बिहार के बेगुसराय से शुरू हुआ यह खेल 90 के दशक तक चरम पर था। बाहुबली बूथ लूटते थे और गरीबों को वोट नहीं डालने देते थे।
विपक्ष के गढ़ वाले बूथों पर मतपेटियों में स्याही या तेजाब डालकर सारे वोटों को अमान्य (Invalid) कर दिया जाता था।

हार के डर से पूरी मतपेटी को आग लगा दी जाती थी। 1987 का J&K चुनाव और 1989 का अमेठी चुनाव इसके बड़े उदाहरण हैं।

और लाला जब २००४ में जब पूरे देश में EVM लागू कर दी गई थी तब कांगरेस की सरकार बनी थी

2004 से लागू हुई EVM ने इस पूरी गुंडागर्दी पर हमेशा के लिए ताला लगा दिया। आज एक-एक वोट सुरक्षित है और लोकतंत्र बाहुबलियों से आजाद है। 🇮🇳
