ग़जब है...

कुछ हफ्तों पहले CJI सूर्यकांत एक लापरवाह सा स्टेटमेंट देते हैं। विदेश में बैठा एक युवक इस स्टेटमेंट को सटीक टाइमिंग के साथ धर लेता है। एक सोशल मीडिया अकाउंट बनता है, अकाउंट से पार्टी बनती है, फिर वो पार्टी धरातल पर आती है, धरने पर बैठती है....

धरने में मुट्ठी भर लोग (कॉक्रोच) भी नहीं जुटते। सोशल मीडिया पर मीम्स की बाढ़ लाने वाले युवा ज़मीन पर गायब हो जाते हैं। पार्टी का मुखिया धर्मसंकट में फंस जाता है—करे तो क्या?

प्रयास होता है कि किसी प्रकार इज्जत बचाते हुए निकल लिया जाए, लेकिन सरकार का दिल पसीज जाता है, पुलिस प्रोत्साहित करती है कि, अरे ऐसे कैसे, "देखो- इतनी दूर से आए हो तो बिना धरना दिलवाए तो नहीं जानें देंगे..."
नेता फिर फंस जाता है...
फिर शुरू होती है भूख हड़ताल, लेकिन उससे भी लोगों का दिल नहीं पसीजता,
एक तरफ आमरण अनशन, दूसरी तरफ छोले भठूरों, ब्रेड पकौड़ों को सेवन जारी रहता है।
वो तो भला हो ढपली गैंग और सिद्धहस्त/अनुभवी आंदोलनजीवियों का, जो रिइन्फोर्समेंट लेकर मैदान पर पहुंच जाते हैं।

फिर अचानक एक दिन सरकार को लगता है कि, भले उसने न लिया हो, लेकिन जनता इस प्रोटेस्ट को गंभीरता से लेने लगी है...

अचानक दिल्ली का पुलिस कमिश्नर बदल दिया जाता है। कुछ वक्त पहले जेल काटकर आए बुजुर्ग नेता को शहादत से ऐन पहले अस्पताल में भर्ती करवा दया जाता है।

संसद का मॉनसून सत्र शुरू होता है। उसी दिन प्रदर्शनकारी संसद मार्च निकालते हैं।
स्टूडेंट्स के बीच उपद्रवी घुस जाते हैं। जमकर पथराव होता है, हंगामा होता है और फिर पुलिस लाठीचार्ज करती है।
लाठीचार्ज में युवा घायल होते हैं, उनकी तस्वीरें वायरल होती हैं, जनता और भड़क जाती है, और ज्यादा भीड़ जंतर-मंतर पहुंच जाती है...

आंदोलन के महायज्ञ में अपनी आहुति देने के लिए अलग-अलग दलों के नेता भी पहुंच जाते हैं...
कांग्रेस पीछे रह जाती है, तो अपना अलग मोर्चा खोल लेती है। सरकार को इस मोर्चे से भी निपटना है।
बाजी राहुल गांधी के हाथ न लग जाए, अंततः वो कॉक्रोचों के नेता को ही प्रदर्शन का मुख्य नेता मानने का फैसला ले लेती है

कॉक्रोचों के प्रतिनिधि सरकार से बातचीत शुरू करते हैं।
दूसरी बैठक में ही सरकार झुक जाती है और सरकार के बेहद कद्दावर मंत्री—कई राज्यों में भाजपा की सरकार बनाने वाले, पूर्व में उज्ज्वला जैसी योजना को अमली जामा पहनाने वाले और नई शिक्षा नीति पर काम कर रहे धर्मेंद्र प्रधान की कुर्सी चली जाती है।

कई विपक्षी पार्टियों को खा-पचा कर हज़म कर चुकी और संख्या बल के लिहाज़ से दो-तिहाई बहुमत की ओर बढ़ रही मोदी सरकार झुकने को मजबूर हो जाती है, वो भी कल के नौसिखिए लड़कों के सामने।

करीब 70 दिन की यही टाइमलाइन है...

खैर, सोचता हूं कि धर्मेंद्र प्रधान कभी CJI गवई से मिलेंगे तो क्या कहेंगे ?

वैसे, एक मज़े की बात ये भी है कि वो तमाम अधिकारी, जो अपने विभाग के लिए शायद मंत्री से भी ज़्यादा उत्तरदायी होते हैं, वो मज़े से तमाशा देख रहे हैं। उन्हें कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता।
उनका 'वर मरे चाहे कन्या, हमें दक्षिणा से मतलब' वाला मोड आगे भी जारी रहेगा...
बहुत होगा तो इस विभाग के निदेशक से उस विभाग के सचिव हो जाएंगे,
सरकारें आएंगी- जाएंगी...ब्यूरोक्रेसी वहीं बनी रहेगी
इसमें कोई बदलाव नहीं होगा।

Two days ago, a video circulated on social media showing doodh-daatas in Maharashtra spilling their milk after a rumor of an FDA raid spread.

I wondered what they could have adulterated the milk with to make them get rid of it in such a panic over a mere rumor. I initially thought it might just be water or milk powder, but there had to be more to it.

Yesterday, the Maharashtra FDA uncovered a massive synthetic milk racket, with an estimated 2.3 crore liters of fake milk manufactured using detergent powder and chemicals like sodium bicarbonate.

By now, you probably have a clear idea of how much these ann-daatas, doodh-daatas, and fal-sabzi-daatas truly care about your health. That's why it's our responsibility to support every policy made that apparently benefits these daatas, even if it means putting ethanol in your non-compliant car. Don't complain. Just do it. Long live daatas.
