Customs officers at SVPIA, Ahmedabad recovered 24 foreign-origin gold biscuits weighing 2.799 kg and valued at ₹4.27 crore from an IndiGo flight arriving from Dubai. The gold was concealed in a lavatory speaker box & seized under the Customs Act, 1962. Investigation is underway.

Customs Surat Airport intercepted a Bangkok-bound passenger and seized 154.81 carats of cut and polished diamonds worth ₹43.97 lakh, along with USD 6,000, concealed in the baggage. The items were seized under the Customs Act, 1962.

On the basis of profiling, Customs@IGI Airport have seized 106 DJI Drones and 20 iPhones collectively valued at Rs. 92.23lakhs from four passengers who arrived from Hong Kong. The passengers have been arrested under Customs Act, 1962. Further investigation is underway.

The Administration instead of conducting any preliminary enquiry on the issues raised by Shri Abhijat ji preferred to silence his mouth by removing him from service.

Whistleblower Targeted for Exposing Irregularities Removed from Service

In a shocking way, Shri Abhijat Srivastava, General Secretary of the Inspectors’ Association, Lucknow Circle, in @cgstluckzone & @cbic_india , known for his outspoken stance against the involvement of @IRS_CIT cadre officers in various misconducts, has been ousted from his service. Renowned for his unwavering efforts to expose misappropriation of public funds, misuse of operational vehicles, opaque disbursement of secret service funds, capturing of office space beyond norms, non-performance of quasi-judicial functions, avoidance of e-office implementation, and improper issuance of DIN, he faced retaliation for his whistleblowing activities.

His advocacy for transparency, notably through representations to the CAG and the @nsitharaman @FinMinIndia ,regarding the disbursement of Secret Service Funds (SSF) and investigations into promotions beyond sanctioned vacancies, led to his removal from service. @CGST_LUCKNOW Authorities justified this action by citing the unrecognized status of the Association at the time of representation submission, alleging deviation from proper communication channels and treating the representations as individual actions rather than collective efforts.

Our members participated in agitation programme against the arbitrary order of K P Singh, Principal Commissioner by which Sri Abhijat Srivastava has been removed from service. If the said order can not be withdrawn or cancelled immediately, such protest will spread across the country.
