Since 2016, I've been making an annual playlist of songs I enjoyed that year. Think Spotify Wrapped but more curated. On the run-up to 2022, I am sharing one of these playlists each day. First up: 2016

Not sure if I'll join Mastodon. Definitely not starting a newsletter on substack any time soon either. I am deeply distrustful of 3rd party content platforms now. Especially when it's been a hobby/labour of love without the pressure to monetise.
So happy to have re-discovered @NetNewsWire today. Loving the ability to read my twitter timeline as a RSS feed.
Had a hacky little thing from 4+ years ago doing the same thing: https://t.co/k7BlKQHaLr, but I never got around to fixing the annoyances. @NetNewsWire is much better!

Devastated to hear this. I had the opportunity to work with him while at Cricinfo. I learned so much from him and his work. We even worked on a F1 product (the now discontinued https://t.co/mVLPqGh6QK) and he had a real knack for modelling sports data. Grateful our paths crossed.

Last night Travis Bavesi died. Most of you will not have heard of him but he was the genius behind Cricinfo's StatsGuru and so much more. If you do nothing else today, read this. Our thoughts are with his wife, son and many, many friends https://t.co/o8pphOxkMs
Monday starting 17:00 UTC @pyblogsal will be releasing Python 3.11 *live*. Expect cameos by some other core devs. Watch the live stream: https://t.co/faznSICweb
@IanColdwater the breached party trying to convince me that they were PCI DSS compliant because PCI DSS says you can't store customer PANs in plaintext and "storing photographs of customer credit cards isn't plain text"
