What would breaking up UP really achieve in this context?
For those who oppose the delimitation exercise UP still walks away with more seats and if @acorn Rajya Sabha solution is applied then they walk away with more RS seats as well.
While I personally support the UP proposal, I don't see how that will be acceptable to those opposing.
@acorn The irony is compounded because they have called some countries like Libya "maghreb" countries. Maghreb literally means West in Arabic/Urdu and perhaps in Farsi as well.
@Wohkaulthi@CastingChhabra Couldn't help but feel that they used some form of DeepFake for Nawaz. Actor's face and the hoarding behind him were different and that actually ruined the experience for me. His face made weird expressions (possibly because of the deepfake thingy)
Dang. I obviously knew about the consequences bit (not just in vulnerable moments), but never thought to connect it as an explanation for what even I used to call "too much anxiety".

@nixxin The closest I can think of is "Marginal Cost of Public Funds", which is the "cost" imposed on society in raising the revenue to be spent.
E.g., for every ₹1 that is spent by govt, the cost of society is over ₹3
The 2023 edition of MOSPI's Environmental Stats painted a really grim picture of Chandigarh's Waste management, so I thought to look for more recent stats.
But guess what, the 2025 edition is a non-searchable PDF. I mean, abh bolein toh bolein kya...
I mean how are you supposed to take a document seriously when your lived reality is the exact opposite.
The only explanation I have is that maybe I have moved from smaller/cleaner cities to bigger (& hence messier) cities, but that's me grasping at straws to justify reading it.
@saurabhtodi I hope I'm proven wrong, but i'm really skeptical about this. While I see the growing outrage, it is taking the predictable trope (that even I fell for 15 years ago) of "party in power is the problem".
As for rising incomes, the conclusion on SM I see is "use that to leave🇮🇳"
Has Swatch Bharat Mission actually been as successful as claimed?
Reading SBM-2.0 document seems like some massive revolution occured, while to me, it feels things have gotten worse. The govt data shows 100% compliance but a casual google search paints a different picture altogether.
Surely gov stats are not completely wrong, but reading these reports feels like there are two different versions of reality and we've just accepted the duality as a fact of life.

The whole idea of single KP head performing Shivratri ritual needs to change. It was meant for times when people married pre-teen. Now, "young" people get to perform on own only in 50-60s. Too late to learn or master. Then we say rituals are getting weaker. Everything takes time.
I don't think I've some crazy expectations. It's a basic courtesy.
The road next to my house is fun to walk on because it is peaceful, so do your part in upholding that peace.
The cafe has a good vibe, so enjoy it and let others enjoy too.
In short, DON'T BE SELFISH please.
People headed to a cafe/restaurant, please please keep your voice low.
The people on the table next to you are also trying to have a good time.
My experience is from Bengaluru but I'm sure it's not limited to Blr only. And funnily enough it doesn't happen at "cheaper" places.
Also, this is not entirely limited to cafes. I live on the first floor and I've lost count of the number of times I've felt frustrated in the middle of a office call or woken up at night, because people walking on the road talk loudly or watch videos/reels at full volume.
