@tolly_xyz FFmpeg re-encodes 4K to 1080p, which is super heavy and takes time, even in fast C. YouTube just switches to a pre-encoded 1080p stream, so it’s instant. Javascript is not converting anything. It’s just loading pre-encoded video files from server.
