@Fenianmoder I never said morality is not a legitimate grievance. I said arguing based on morals is pointless, they are nothing to base ones argument on but rather personal and subjective matters. It's pointless to try and convince someone that chocolate tastes bad, the same goes for morals
@goatedgertrude However what I avoid doing is trying to make an argument out of said observation. Viewing something as unethical and having ethical beliefs is not the issue I am raising here. My concern is arguments made using subjective morals or ethics as discussing it is utterly pointless
@goatedgertrude No that's very wrong. I can have similar ethics or views of morality to other people and as such agree with them if they claim something is unethical. This claim is not an argument in itself it's merely a subjective observation that I can agree with if I see it the same way
