It is really unfortunate that students of Mithibai, NMIMS, DJ Sanghvi, Mukesh Patel College etc have to put up with such terrible water logging year after year
The entire stretch of SV Road, V Mehta Road & Gulmohar Road is flooded & stinks
Just imagine a student entering the campus on dark cold rainy morning at 7AM fully drenched, shoes soaked in filthy water & then having sit in class for 6 hours - How will anyone be able to focus?
Please do something on priority @AneeshMakwaaney@mybmcwardKW@parag_alavani

Most Indians believe that the person they name as nominee on their bank account will get that money when they die. That belief is wrong, and it has torn families apart.
Here is what the law actually says.
Under Indian law, a nominee is not the owner of your money. A nominee is only a trustee. That means the bank will hand the balance to the nominee after your death, but the nominee is legally required to pass it on to your legal heirs, the people entitled to inherit under succession law. Receiving the money and owning the money are two different things.
This is not a small technical point. It is settled law. The Supreme Court laid it down decades ago and reaffirmed it firmly in a judgment in 2023.
A nomination, the court said, is simply a convenience. It gives the bank a single safe person to release the funds to, so the bank is not caught between fighting relatives. It was never meant to decide who finally owns the money.
The same rule applies almost everywhere. Bank accounts, fixed deposits, shares, mutual funds and provident fund. In all of them, the nominee holds the money in trust for the legal heirs.
There is one real exception. In life insurance, the law allows certain close family nominees, a spouse, parents or children, to keep the proceeds, though even here the High Courts have not fully agreed.
There is one more thing you must know because false claims about it are spreading online. In November 2025, the rules changed to let you name up to four nominees on a bank account instead of one.
Many social media posts claimed this finally lets you pass your money directly to whoever you choose. That is not true. You can now name four nominees instead of one, but all of them still receive the money as trustees for your legal heirs. The doctrine did not change. Only the number did.
So what actually protects your family? One thing above all, a valid Will. A Will overrides a nomination. If you want a specific person to truly own what you leave behind, name them in a properly made Will, not just on a nomination form.
Nomination decides who collects your money. A Will decides who keeps it. Most families learn the difference at the worst possible time.

THANK YOU DAVID FOR THE LESSON! 🥹❤️
Life is full of lessons. Last week, on a flight from Goa to Mumbai, I learned one.
In the picture is David.
When David boarded the flight, many people looked at him because he was overweight. He came and sat across the aisle from me. In the middle of the flight, he opened his bag, took out a huge collection of chocolates and sweets, and then walked towards the washroom.
I exchanged a glance with the gentleman sitting next to him and said, “He shouldn’t eat so much sweets and chocolates!” This was said out of concern! The gentleman smiled and replied, “Well, that’s probably why he looks the way he does.”
A little while later, David came back, gathered all the sweets, and handed them over to the cabin crew. 🥹
I was surprised.
So I told him, “I must confess, I thought you were going to eat all those chocolates yourself, and that’s why you were overweight.”
He smiled and said, “ I don’t blame you for thinking like that! I have a medical condition. But I used to work with airlines, and I know what cabin crew members go through every day. So I like to bring them something sweet whenever I travel.”
What an outstanding human being.
And what a lesson for me.
How quickly we judge people. How easily we create stories about them without knowing anything about their lives.😳
Thank you, David, for reminding me that kindness is often hidden behind appearances, and that the best people are sometimes the ones we understand the least.
I asked him for a pic! He obliged!
Thank you for the lesson my friend!❤️ #LifeLessons #Encounters

🚨 PAT CUMMINS REVELED AFTER VIRAT KOHLI WICKET IN WC 2023 🚨
Pat Cummins Said 🗣️,
“When we were standing together after Kohli’s wicket fell, Steve Smith suddenly said, ‘Boys, just listen to the crowd for a second.’ Then we paused for a moment and felt it the whole stadium had gone silent like a library. There were 110,000 Indians there, yet there was complete silence all around. I’ll remember this moment for the rest of my life, that I went to India and silenced a crowd of over one lakh people.”

Manoj Madhusudhanan took a ₹1.86 crore home loan from ICICI Bank.
As collateral, he handed over his original property documents. Every homebuyer does this. You have no choice.
ICICI Bank sent those documents to their storage facility in Hyderabad via courier. Somewhere on that journey — Bangalore to Hyderabad — the documents vanished.
Gone. Originals. Irreplaceable.
When Manoj found out, ICICI Bank had one answer: it was the courier company's fault. Not ours.
He went to the Banking Ombudsman. They told ICICI to publish a public notice about the loss and pay him ₹25,000 for the trouble.
Twenty-five thousand rupees. For losing the original documents to a ₹1.86 crore property.
Manoj sent a legal notice. ICICI denied any mistake.
He went to the NCDRC.
The apex consumer court looked at the facts. The bank had taken custody of the documents. The bank had chosen the courier. The bank could not hand that liability to a third party and walk away.
ICICI Bank — India's second-largest private bank, ₹9 lakh crore in assets — was held liable. Ordered to obtain reconstructed certified copies, issue an indemnity bond, and pay ₹25 lakh in compensation.
One loan. One lost file. One bank that blamed the courier.
Save this — if your bank loses your original property documents, they cannot blame their courier agent. The documents were in their custody. The liability is theirs. File at your district consumer forum. The law is on your side.

🚨VIRAT KOHLI ON COMPARISONS WITH SACHIN TENDULKAR🚨
“I never see myself in the same conversation as him. He is the reason an entire generation, including me, fell in love with cricket. What he has achieved for India is beyond numbers and records. Players like us can try our best, but his impact, class, and contribution to Indian cricket are simply unmatched. For me, he will always remain on a different level altogether.”

How does the Chief Minister of Maharashtra swapping a car convoy with a motorbike convoy really help? A little bit of mileage difference is all?
The CM lives near Napeansea Road and had to go to Vidhan Bhawan today. If he really wanted to set an example, he could have taken the BEST bus from Napeansea Road and walked a few meters to reach his destination.
But if he had, then his government's apathy towards BEST would have been completely exposed. Thanks to the severely reduced fleet, he would have had to wait at the bus stop until a bus arrived and then like all ordinary Mumbaikars, he would have had to place his safety in the hands of an ill-trained wet lease bus driver.
It is clear all this austerity talk is just a mere photo op and nothing else. If the CM and his cabinet were serious, they would address serious issues facing public transport and walkability in Mumbai today. But with this government, everything is about reel worthy content.
