Sitting at platform no 1 of Kathgodam railway station. Waiting to get inside the train New Delhi Shatabdi (12039) which is firmly locked. In the meantime a public announcement has been started telling us that this train is on platform no 1 (which we know ) and that we should take our seats (.which we are surely unable to do). The announcement has been going on unstopped at a high pitch for the last 20 minutes - and tiresomely repetitive. Waste of energy, noise pollution and shows complete disregard for saving energy which the honourable Prime Minister has requested in his recent appeal. @RailMinIndia@RailwaySeva@RailwayNorthern@PTI_News
VIDEO | Delhi: Petrol, diesel prices hiked by Rs 3 per litre each. A consumer at a fuel pump in Dhaula Kuan, says, "We have to look at this from two perspectives. There are two ways of understanding it. Individually, it definitely affects people, but if you look at the overall situation, wars are going on across the world. Fuel is becoming difficult to procure, demand is increasing, and the barrel cost of crude oil has gone extremely high. Considering all these factors, even if prices are increasing by Rs 3, as citizens we need to understand the larger picture. At the same time, inflation will definitely be affected because whenever petrol or diesel prices rise, all associated sectors are impacted and the prices of goods and services increase as well. Given the current global situation and the ongoing wars, I believe the government must have taken this decision after careful consideration. In my opinion, we should support it."

🚨Tennis Star Novak Djokovic Leaves the World’s Elite Stunned — Not With Headlines, But With Purpose!
Tennis star Novak Djokovic — a global icon known for his talent and growing influence — has just stunned some of the wealthiest and most influential circles on the planet. Not with a performance. Not with a competition result. But with a bold, life-changing decision few saw coming.
At a glittering red-carpet gala in Los Angeles on April 26, attended by Hollywood executives, tech billionaires, global power brokers, and cultural elites, Novak Djokovic stepped onto the stage to accept a Global Impact Award. Many expected reflections on his journey, his rise in sports, and his growing platform.
What they got instead was silence — and conviction.
Novak Djokovic didn’t lean into celebration. He didn’t perform for applause. He didn’t soften his message for the cameras. He simply stood there, steady and grounded, looking out across a room shaped by wealth, influence, and privilege.
“We’re dressed up tonight,” he said calmly. “Celebrating success. Celebrating wins. But outside these doors, there are families praying for groceries. Veterans fighting battles long after they come home. Parents choosing between rent and medicine. That shouldn’t be normal.”
The room went still.
“This isn’t about politics,” he continued. “It’s about responsibility. If we’ve been blessed and we choose comfort over compassion, then what are we really doing with what we’ve been given?”
Then came the moment that shifted the entire atmosphere.
Standing under the bright stage lights, Novak Djokovic announced he will dedicate a significant portion of his future earnings — reportedly exceeding $150 million — toward long-term humanitarian efforts.
The focus: veterans’ housing, mental health care, addiction recovery programs, food insecurity initiatives, and direct support for struggling families.
“I’ve been given more than I ever expected in this life,” he said. “But there are too many people still just trying to get through the week. Compassion without action doesn’t mean much.”
There was no explosive reaction. No roaring applause at first. Instead, there was something heavier — a quiet, reflective stillness.
A room full of powerful figures was forced to sit with words that weren’t designed to entertain, but to confront.
Novak Djokovic closed with a statement that lingered long after the night ended:
“Legacy isn’t about fame or fortune. It’s about who you help stand back up when life knocks them down. If we leave this world comfortable but nothing changes, then we didn’t really do enough.”

Some experiences raise your faith in good human nature. I just bought a I phone charging cable at ‘Daily Needs’ shop in Terminal 2 of Mumbai airport. The charger didn’t work because of a problem in the I-Phone charging point. Anjul from Daily Needs noticed this and realised that I didn’t need a new charging cable. He came to the business lounge took the cable returned it to his shop. Not only this but he brought back the refund right away. Most unexpected and and a very pleasant surprise. Thanks Anjul. Hope @AdaniAirport will take note and recognise the good worker.

Ishan was consistent right through and played a solid role in India’s run. @IamShivamDube@hardikpandya7 shifted momentum at will when the game demanded it.
@Jaspritbumrah93 was truly special, the tougher the situation the better he got! @akshar2026 was magical with the ball, picking up crucial wickets, with Hardik, @arshdeepsinghh and #VarunChakaravarthy keeping the pressure on throughout.
Congratulations to coach @GautamGambhir and the entire support staff as well! A lot of hard work goes into moments like this!
