#AFL The advantage rule needs to be revisited. Umpires need to not blow the whistle unless they want play to stop. Too often everyone stops, and one bloke runs away and gets called advantage. No other sport in the world has an advantage rule that blows the whistle first. #AFL360

Amazing what the team can do when their supporters get behind them and the manager and focus on actually being supporters. Absolutely toxic atmosphere at some games that has no doubt impacted our players. This needs to change. It's an embarrassment and counter productive.

Can we do away with the waiting till the player touches the ball or tries to tackle before flagging offside. By being in the vicinity of the ball, he's impacting the play(ie. Defender panics and clears, or is marking him etc)

@mussystephen Wenger keeps trying to play without one - even Peps teams have a midfield shield who is defensively minded. Coquelin is the closest thing we've had in a decade, and when he was in form we went through a really good patch of form. Even Flamini at times did a job.

@mussystephen Because we have no defensive minded midfielders. We try force guys like Xhaka to be defensive minded, but are exposed time and time again by their lack of defensive awareness and nous. Nearly every single title winning team has a quality defensive midfielder protecting the back.
