And it’s the cleanest country I’ve been to out of 30+ countries I’ve visited. Though there’s no public trash cans except a few, the roads, stations, restrooms are all spick and span. People carry their trash home.
Of all the countries visited by far, Japan is a very different country in terms of people and their culture. Their honesty, politeness and discipline are things to be copied. There’s sensory overload -a dazzling storm of noisy, flat shops and serene calmness on the other hand.
Just walking from our lodge to the reception - a mere 2-3 minutes away, I could experience some 8 different bird sounds and many other insects. One was just like a droplet of water.
Truly an unforgettable experience!
The sounds of great Potoo startled some of us and made us think there’s a jaguar or a similar hunter nearby. I couldn’t believe how rich the rainforest world out there is both in the day and night time.
Amazon rainforest has been on my bucket list for ages. It truly lived up to expectations. The myriad varieties of birds, butterflies, moths, monkeys, insects and other animals is mind boggling . Never seen some of these creatures in the zoo also.
