I decided to run so I could serve my community and make it stronger. One where we uplift and support one another. Check out our campaign video and learn how I plan to work towards a better Queens.
Despite the chaos of a severe storm and flooding in NYC, Manhattan remains fairly clear.
Meanwhile, folks still need their $15 salads, and the hardworking outer borough residents are expected to brave the closed-down trains and show up for work.
Disasters like this flooding disproportionately impact our most vulnerable. Many New Yorkers have no choice but to take flooding trains and buses to work or risk their lives to deliver food. We hope for safety for New York's workers.

Been up since 4am with first day of school nerves.
Just a friendly reminder:
@NYCSchools end at 2:15pm
My work day ends at 6pm
I work because I want to bring change to the world but the financial burden of childcare is a continued reality.

The irony is affirmative action is actually forcing meritocracy in a system designed against it. And white folks, particularly men, are mad because policies like affirmative action make them have to work for opportunities vs get them by default or entitlement.
Todays decision on Affirmative Action by the Supreme Court is a true travesty.
Affirmative Action isn’t perfect, but necessary for those systemically overlooked by our core institutions.
Race has never been irrelevant in this country.
Whether it’s how the European settlers treated the native Americans when they arrived here, or the institution of slavery being established before our independence.
In 1 yr:
“the decision was the latest illustration that the court’s conservative majority continues to move at a brisk pace to upend decades of jurisprudence and redefine aspects of American life on contentious issues like abortion, guns and now race.” https://t.co/xxWAVdFMua
Re-wearing your clothes shouldn’t be a radical idea. It’s something we grew up doing.
If something ripped we fixed it.
If it got dirty we washed it.
The fashion industry is one of the biggest contributors to the #ClimateCrisis. Let’s be better.
Thrift, borrow, rewear.
And while I understand diplomacy is important, so is calling things out things for what they are and asking for answers. Accountability is part of the job.
I will ALWAYS choose:
- Religious freedom over intolerance & discrimination.
- Democracy over authoritarianism & suppression of voices.
- Inclusivity over division & marginalization.
These values are fundamental to building a just and equitable society.
I’m tired of the excuses
India needs a future that embraces diversity & respects the rights and freedoms of EVERYONE.
DACA recipients are teachers, service members, business owners, doctors, and parents. They are our friends and neighbors. We are a better nation—a stronger nation—because they’re here.
As we mark the 11th anniversary of DACA, let’s continue to organize and push Congress to build an immigration system that offers these Americans a permanent pathway to citizenship.
The New York Public Library staff say #NoCutsToLibraries! @NYCMayor and @NYCCouncil, library funding is essential! New Yorkers need the vital services our libraries provide. https://t.co/jc4s9AiWGZ
