Global Investors Summit का ढिंढोरा पीटा गया: 1,779 MoU, ₹3.56 लाख करोड़। रोडशो पर जनता के लगभग ₹100 करोड़ ख़र्च हुए | फिर सरकार ने ₹1 लाख करोड़ को "ज़मीन पर उतरा निवेश" बताया।

Newslaundry ने जाँचा कि यह निवेश किसका है:

* आटा चक्कियाँ, खाद-बीज की दुकानें और छोटे क्लीनिक "निवेशक" गिन लिए गए। कुछ को पता तक नहीं था।
* ₹35,279 करोड़ - यानी 35% - सरकारी बिजली कंपनियों के हैं।
* CSR और दान से चलने वाले एक स्कूल को ₹24.49 करोड़ का "निवेशक" बताया गया।
* ₹1,200 करोड़ के "निवेशक" की कमाई चार साल से शून्य है, और रिकॉर्ड में उसका एक भी कर्मचारी नहीं।
* दुबई-लंदन के रोडशो से ₹27,975 करोड़ का दावा हुआ, पर "ज़मीन पर उतरे" निवेशकों की सूची में इन दोनों शहरों की एक भी कंपनी नहीं।

और समिट से सिर्फ़ सात दिन पहले, 1 दिसंबर 2023 को, "निवेश" की परिभाषा ही ढीली कर दी गई। इसे कहते हैं: पहले नियम बदलो, फिर आँकड़े बताओ।

Election Commission's favourite answer on EVMs is OTP chips cannot be changed.

That answers the wrong question.
OTP proves the code can't be changed after it is burnt. It proves nothing about what was burnt in. Locking a door means nothing if you never checked who was inside before you locked it.

🔹Who writes the EVM source code?
🔹Who approves changes to it?
🔹Who audits it independently, line by line?
🔹Who verifies that the firmware in the machines matches the approved build, bit for bit?
simple questions. Not one public answer.

& the company that builds these machines, BEL, has on its board as an independent director a former Rajya Sabha MP whose election affidavit records him as a BJP candidate.

ECINet has already shown us that centrally controlled software can override the discretion the law gives to officers. If code can override the law on voter rolls, why should the country simply trust the code inside the voting machine?

Transparency does not weaken the Election Commission. Secrecy does. Open the chain. Answer the questions.

चुनाव आयोग कहता है कि ज्यूडिशियल ऑफिसर्स और 19 ट्राइब्यूनल के ज़रिए वोटर को अपना पक्ष रखने का मौका मिल रहा है. ये व्यवस्था सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश पर बनी.

लेकिन, उनका क्या, जो चुनाव में वोट ही नहीं डाल पाए? पश्चिम बंगाल के CEO ने एक RTI के जवाब में बताया कि 7 अगस्त 2026 तक ट्राइब्यूनल ने करीब 82 हज़ार अपीलों पर फैसला किया, और इनमें से करीब 75 हज़ार लोग, लगभग 91% योग्य वोटर पाए गए और उनके नाम वापस जोड़े गए.

यानी जिनकी सुनवाई हुई, उनमें से ज़्यादातर सही निकले.

वोटर लिस्ट में वापस आने के लिए करीब 7 लाख लोगों ने अपील की थी, जिनमें से अब तक सिर्फ़ एक छोटे हिस्से की ही सुनवाई हो पाई है.

इनमें से कई लोगों ने वकीलों पर पैसे खर्च किए, दफ्तरों के चक्कर लगाए, और सबसे बड़ी बात, वे अपना वोट नहीं डाल पाए.

इस नुकसान की भरपाई कौन करेगा? सवाल ये नहीं कि वे किसे वोट देते या कौन जीतता. सवाल ये है कि वे असली वोटर थे, और उन्हें उनका अधिकार नहीं मिला.

As the Election Commission launches a special drive in 20 states to bring back voters “left out” in the SIR, its officers are staring at a unique problem: persuading lakhs, possibly crores, of people to fill Form 6, the “Application Form for New Voters,” which asks them to declare they are applying “for the first time.”

Form 6 is the right route back, and officials say signing it invites no legal action. But people who’ve voted for decades balk at calling themselves new, and many believe the declaration is false.

Against that backdrop, Maharashtra’s CEO has proposed a fix: drop “New Voters” from the title, and let the deleted say they were enrolled before and cite their old EPIC number.
