लगता है DM साहब के नक्शे में साहिबाबाद से लोनी तक का इलाका गाज़ियाबाद जिले से बाहर है, तभी तो सड़क की दुर्दशा उन तक पहुंच ही नहीं पाती। उधर लोनी के माननीय विधायक जी भी इसी क्षेत्र में निवास करते हैं, इसलिए विकास कार्यों की झलक देखने के लिए किसी रिपोर्ट की जरूरत नहीं—बस एक बार भोपुरा-लोनी मार्ग पर सफर कर लीजिए।

गड्ढों के बीच कहीं-कहीं सड़क भी दिखाई दे जाती है। क्षेत्रवासियों ने अब शिकायत करना लगभग छोड़ दिया है, क्योंकि उन्हें विश्वास हो चला है कि शायद यह बदहाल सड़क कोई सरकारी योजना नहीं, बल्कि ऐसा श्राप है जिससे मुक्ति मिलना संभव नहीं
