@sparkjeons LITERALLY like estrogen makes u more susceptible to autoimmune stuff. plus tons of men have stomach issues too (also eating disorders lowkey)
@kyrazhuravel there were two instances of seagulls appearing to enter the backrooms in the movie? unless i misunderstood what was going on with the seagulls
@thotjiminie it always kills me when people say this like sure and i get a caffeine withdrawal headache because i wasnt sipping an iced drink from a straw like stop bullshitting meee
@alicealeph0@Garrodactyl@armourgraces i do not think it is true that people had less responsibilities or ways to fuck up 50 or 70 years ago. and the behaviors we associate with autism or adhd were viewed as personality traits. very negative ones! or even moral failings. i think your view of the past is overly rosy
@DomainDead the backrooms is the monsters though imo. and it has all kind of creatures in it i think. like the body does. but those are just bacteria in the body, which is the backrooms. which is perhaps a distorted image of what the film presents as the "real world"
@kouyosano ive bounced off stephan graham jones multiple times i think the first thing i tried reading was the one that was like an homage to slashers? and im not a big slashers person should i try again
@unwelldracula ommg we didnt we planned to see them via kayaking and then it was like 40 degrees on the day we were supposed to do it and we were like...naur...also i hope u have fun when u go im not one for bigger boats but i love kayaking and canoeing!!!
@MarkAschParody a key part of the fear is that you are alone and often trapped and you cannot access your friends. like personally if i was going to go into the texas chainsaw massacre house i would bring my own chainsaw and a gun but thats not the reality the film is asking you to hold
@unwelldracula omg it was on our list and then we ran out of time!! /the other thing we wanted to do and didnt was kayak it was kind of too cold to kayak esp cuz my wife was very underweight and not doing super well at the time!! but next time we want to we both grew up kayaking on lake erie!!
