Not everyone will see your heart and handle it with care. And that has to be okay, “let your peace return to you.”
Whoever does not receive you, nor hear your words, when you leave that space, shake the dust off your feet.
- Inspired by Matt. 10:13-14
When God prunes, it hurts. Yet, while he soothes your pain with the Word and His promises, you're reminded, one day at a time, that you're closer.
In step with what He has called you to do and who He has created you to be.
NB.21
I love the fellowship of Christendom. I was waiting for the car wash and singing away to "Man of Your Word."
As I'm vibing, as I usually do in my car, I look to my right, and I see a woman getting ready to put air in her tyres.
Just before I turn away, I look closely and see that she's singing the words. She smiles, and I smile back.
That moment felt so wholesome. I'm grateful for the presence of God wherever I go.
Hebrews 7 & 8.
So powerful.
So uplifting and striking.
I felt every word, in my heart and my soul.
It is worth the read if you’re curious.
Yet, reading the previous chapters adds
another layer to the profound message 🩶
God is all I need.
Lately, I’ve felt like a sounding board and emotional safety for others.
It can feel draining yet I am constantly reminded that God is my refuge and strength. He’s my safe haven.
It’s His opportunity to show me who He is and how much He loves me.
I can’t explain how grateful I feel knowing that. It’s also a huge responsibility.
Everyday, God convicts me about something we should be working on together - To show my faith BY my works!
NB 20.
Try to be more mindful of the role you play in other people's stories.
Not to your detriment, just to a level that keeps you humble and introspective.
NB 19.
Discovering who you are: what you value, enjoy, dislike, need, want and the like, feels amazing.
Especially after feeling like you lost yourself from unhealthy or incompatible relationships. Whether platonic or romantic.
It’s a breath of fresh air, the kind you experience after swimming to the surface of the ocean.
You don’t have to hold your breath anymore, you can breathe. Relax. And be at peace with the version of you that brings joy.
Everyone else that comes into your life thereafter, will either accept or reject that version of you.
Which is the best filtering process for living a purposeful life.
Walks in the Forest near my house always feel refreshing, especially when I’m suffering from a headache or migraine.
Feeling grateful for the little things right now.
Happy Monday All 🙋🏽♀️
Whenever I have questions, God ALWAYS presents the answer through His Word.
I always feel humbled yet, more importantly reminded that there is always an area of my life that requires fine tuning.
I am far from perfect and God teaches me that daily.
My plant baby is blooming!
It was touch and go for a minute when I had to prune the roots and a leaf… got there in the end!
So beautiful and cute!
My orchid teaches me a lot, about life.
Happy Sunday All 🩶
Did a first today.
Lol… may seem silly but for an introverted young woman who spends most of her time with her 8 year old niece and family..
it’s a small BIG something for me.
Dinner alone in a restaurant - Check.
I wasn’t really alone, God was with me! Looking forward to more firsts alone, in this season of my life.
Off to meet a friend to watch a play now, have a lovely evening all! 🩶
Spot on. Honour is the seed men plant for women to blossom and grow in their God given femininity.
The more a man leads in love as he is led by God, the more the woman can rest and create from a place of gentleness, warmth, submission etc.
It feels sad that the males who see that, are few and far between.
We are products of our environment.
On my way home from work this evening, I heard His still small voice:
“I am in control”
- God.
Then I saw this…
I’m feeling grateful for these gentle and timely reminders.
A fine line exists between staying true to yourself and stepping outside your comfort zone.
Doing both is a delicacy in and of itself. "Be of good courage..." and start small.
And, when you feel overwhelmed, pause. Don’t force yourself into your next move.
Yet, don’t stay too long where you’re at, either. Well, you can, but you're unlikely to grow from there.
It’s clunky, and it feels uncomfortable. I don’t think that ever goes away.
You learn to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
The discomfort is feedback for what might be true to you but perhaps shouldn’t be.
What is “comfortable” isn’t always what’s best for you. Quite the opposite… sometimes.
NB. 18.
Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger.
I have to constantly remind myself of this. Sometimes, I slip up and what may have started off with pure intention lands completely side ways.
It’s not realistic or particularly valuable for me to be constantly pouring out “content” if I need to fill my cup in real life daily.
I commend those who can genuinely do both. Right now, life is not so clear cut for me. It’s a rollercoaster and I have to pick up my cross everyday.
Plus the scheduling tool doesn’t always work for me so there’s that.
Praying for more solidarity among believers. Our connection to each other can feel so disjointed at times.
Sincerely hoping we can use our freedom by love to serve each other. To love each other as we love ourselves.
How can we do that if we don’t have a contrite and humble spirit?
Where we examine ourselves daily, which includes exploring and learning to have compassion for the darkest parts of our psyche only God sees.
Working through trauma or limiting beliefs, in my experience, is one way that gives us the capacity to live in the Spirit.
“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
Healing starts.
Mindsets shift.
Perceptions change.
