When Trump was ever among other world leaders, I was painfully embarrassed - and more, in those final months where he tried to steal the election, he echoed the dangers of past despots.

Today I appreciate we rose together to defeat fascism in the 1940s and in 2020 too.

That is why celebrating the men who fought in Normandy seems more important than ever.

I am proud of my vote in 2020.
