went to a therapy dog event on campus which is normally very socially hard and overstimulating for me but i actually had a lovely time and 2 of the handlers were very impressed that i recognized their dogs breeds (wire fox terrier and flat coated retriever)
also very nice to see a normal wire fox terrier The only one i’ve met before this was a boarding regular at my old job that was very overweight (i wanna say 30-40lbs) and was sometimes reactive to us and always aggressive to other dogs
also the wire fox terrier is apparently very accomplished, finished his championship at 13 months, has all kinds of trick dog titles and such On top of being a therapy dog and i just thought that was so cool bc nobody else (who was there) gaf about any of that But i do…
@justabonelady it’s so awesome I initially only saw the back half of the dog and i suspected it was a fcr but i wasn’t sure just on that But when the crowd cleared and i saw the face, i immediately recognized it lol
i love that my gf is not a dog nerd like me bc she says very fun breed mix guesses that i never would’ve thought of. once she showed me a video of a “border collie golden retriever mix” and the video was of a nova scotia duck tolling retriever
@puppyhowler@Wund3rBark pretty much lmao They brag about their dogs having a low COI which in theory is good but like…. your dogs only have a low COI bc they’re not dobermans they’re mixed….
