📢🚨On 29 June 2026, #CAPSS & the College of Aerospace Warfare (CAW) hosted the #5th Warfare and Aerospace Strategy Programme (#WASP) at Air Force Auditorium, Subroto Park.
🎙️ Welcome address was given by AVM PA Shah (Commandant, CAW), who highlighted the need for the programme, since it cultivates intellectual depth required for defence leaders and the wider strategic community. Outlining both session themes, AVM Shah remarked that modern military leadership can either passively react to emerging future threats or proactively shape operational action — for the latter, he strongly encouraged officers to remain deeply curious to influence critical strategic outcomes.
🗒️ Session I: “Evolution of Aerospace Power: From Classical Strategy to Contemporary Limited Conflict”. Shekhar Gupta @ShekharGupta (Editor-in-Chief of The Print) chaired the session & framed the timeliness of the discourse in light of three major geopolitical events — Russia-Ukraine war, #OpSindoor & the #WestAsia conflict. Participants from CAPSS presented on the given theme.
🗒️ Session II: “Future-Proofing Aerospace Power: Innovation, Integration and Force Design”. Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria (Frmr Chief of the Air Staff, IAF) chaired it and participants from CAW made their presentations on the given topic.

Media reports that the supreme sacrifice of six bravehearts during #OperationSindoor have been acknowledged or brought to public notice for the first time only recently are incorrect. The nation paid homage to these fallen heroes at the earliest opportunity, well before the reports in question. During the official press conference held on May 11, 2025, then Director General of Military Operations paid solemn tribute to these brave soldiers and specifically acknowledged their sacrifice in the line of duty during Operation Sindoor.
These bravehearts were conferred with gallantry awards and this was published in the press release of August 14, 2025. This constituted a formal and national recognition of their valour and supreme sacrifice in keeping with the highest traditions of the Indian Defence Forces.
Simultaneously, the Indian Army’s official social media platforms carried tributes to these bravehearts without delay. The nation’s recognition of these heroes has continued thereafter.
