India has demonstrated quantum secure communication from a drone, a capability only a handful of countries have shown.
C-DAC Pune carried out the demonstration at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow, with the airborne payload flying on a UAS built by Sagar Defence Engineering. Entanglement based QKD was combined with post quantum cryptography and real time encrypted file transfers were completed end to end.

VIDEO | Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis says, "Agniveers in our country undergo extensive training and serve under the Short Service Commission. After completing their tenure, those who return and wish to join the Maharashtra Police will be recruited into the force. The first batch from the Navy has joined us, and we have inducted all of them into our coastal security force. This will strengthen our coastal security, as they have undergone extensive training and have served along the borders and in difficult terrain. Their training is of a very high standard, which will benefit us as well. We have accommodated all the Agniveers who have joined us so far. In the future, those returning from the Army or the Air Force will also be given an opportunity to serve in the Maharashtra Police."
