Today the Maldives Cabinet has given the approval for Maldives to sign the historical #HighSeasTreaty, a critical step towards biodiversity conservation in areas beyond national jurisdiction. This would bring transformational benefits in ocean management and conservation for small island states such as the Maldives. We are excited to join the #RaceForRatification of the #BBNJ and we look forward to the entry into force and implementation of this agreement towards safeguarding and sustainable use of nearly two thirds of the world’s ocean.
On 30th September 2023, Maldivians will say NO to the Indian military presence in the Maldives. We will get UTF back from India. We will remove Indian soldiers from our soil. We will train Maldivians to operate the helicopters & Dornier. Insha Allah. #IndiaOut#DhashuNuvey
I request @MMuizzu to mobilise all great assets who are on his side to spread an important message.
We need at least 70% super majority in 2nd round for a direct UN led intervention to remove Indian military from Maldives & get our borders back.
A simple majority of 50% means it will take more time.
A simple majority means it’ll take more time to remove Indian military.
A super majority of 70% means it’ll strengthen Maldives’ case & put it to the top of their agenda when it comes to UN security council & all that.
China is a permanent member of UN security council.
@HKurusee This is why we need to reset the whole thing and write a new land acquisition law like Singapore did in 1965.
This mess is too unfair to continue.
Massive injustice!
Fuvahmulah coastal project was finalized, all tender documents were completed, funds were sourced from Kuwait Fund & ORIO Fund & contract signed with funding agencies for finance this project during Pres Yameen’s government.
What this incompetent MDP government did was tendering & signing the contact. Four years passed, still the project is not completed. Too Slow! @Huzam
