Pakistan has seen a rise in the cases of Blasphemy accusations after the amendment in 295c.
Statistical Data by various Human Rights Orgs has shown that Blasphemy accusations are mostly made to settle personal scores, mainly land disputes.

One famous case is of #AsiaBibi, a poor Christian Woman who was accussed by her co-workers after a personal dispute. After spending 9 years in death cell row, her sentence was uplifted & She was acquitted by the Apex Court, which followed massive protests by Right-Wing #TLP

#SalmanTaseer, the governor of Punjab was assassinated by his own bodyguard for speaking out against the misuse of 295c. Another Federal Minister for Minority Rights was also murdered for doing the same. In Blasphemy cases, accusations are treated as Convictions

Another FulBright Scholar, Junaid Hafeez, a faculty member at a Pakistani Uni, was accussed of Blasphemy by one of his students, who belonged to student body of a right wing party. He is still facing trial and is currently living in solitary confinement.
