State theft against the Bahá’ís: from personal cash and wedding rings to children’s toys
Climbing over the walls of family homes, arresting parents as their two-year-old watched on, taking away musical instruments, tearing through flowerpots and bags of rice, with no warrant, charge, or reason, Iranian government agents stormed Bahá’í homes and stole their personal belongings across seven provinces. In some cases, 14 agents, 5 cars and a representative of the Prosecutor’s Office arrived to raid one woman’s home to arrest her. The reason given to each of them was brutally clear: you are a Bahá’í.
Between 22 and 25 August, in the span of less than a week, Iranian authorities across the country turned Bahá’í homes and workplaces into scenes of arrests and confiscation, seizing cars, personal jewelry, cash, computers, professional equipment, musical instruments, household goods and even children’s toys.

(1/3) #Catar#Bahai#DireitosHumanos
Qatar’s discrimination of its peaceful Baha’i minority took a grim turn for the worse, this week, with news of the illegitimate and unjust deportation of two prominent Baha’is from Qatar and the imminent deportation of two others. The four individuals, who cannot be named at this time, serve or have served in voluntary administrative capacities within institutions that tend to the welfare of Qatar’s Baha’i community. Deporting them is an attack by Qatar’s authorities on the Baha’i community. #Qatar #HumanRIghts #Bahai

Qatar has been home to a Bahá'í community for over 80 years. But after years of discrimination, that community now faces erasure. Swipe to learn about the threats confronting Bahá'ís in Qatar:
Thank you @BBCR4Sunday for interviewing @ShaddadHaddad this weekend on discrimination against the #Bahai community in #Qatar—where almost half the Baha'i community has faced forced and sudden deportation in recent weeks. We are alarmed that the Qatari government has carried out a deliberate campaign of religious erasure aimed at one of the religious communities that has been present in the region for over 100 years, and whose presence in Qatar—well before the establishment of the modern Qatari state—is documented as spanning many decades.
Boshra Mostafavi, a pregnant Bahá’í woman from Rafsanjan, southeast Iran, is among dozens of Bahá’ís detained and jailed in recent months, as the Islamic Republic pursues an escalating campaign of brutal persecution against the religious minority.
Boshra and Shakila are among nearly 80 Bahá’ís who have faced detention, arrest, and imprisonment since the February outbreak of conflict, in a widening series of human rights attacks by the authorities in Iran.
More than 400 recent cases of state-sponsored human rights abuses against Bahá’ís across Iran, including arrests and detentions, violent home raids, unlawful property seizures, and obstructions to justice by judicial authorities, have been reported.
