Revision in Release Timeline and Policy for the Index of Industrial Production (IIP)

Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has revised the release schedule and revision policy for the All India Index of Industrial Production (IIP) to enhance the timeliness and efficiency of data dissemination.

Effective immediately, the IIP will be released on the 28th of every month at 4:00 PM (or on the next working day if the 28th is a holiday), reducing the release timeline from 42 days to 28 days from the end of the reference month.

Additionally, MoSPI has discontinued the practice of issuing a second revision. Under the revised revision policy, each month's IIP will now be released in only two stages:

- Quick Estimate (released on the 28th of the following month)
- Final Estimate (released one month after the Quick Estimate)

This replaces the earlier system of three releases: Quick Estimate, First Revised Estimate, and Second Revised (Final) Estimate.

MoSPI will release the next IIP estimates on 28 April 2025, at 4:00 PM.
