Even if that was the case it depends on the type of assault and how many offenses. If you get overheated about your meal and hit the server in rage, how long do you think you should be in Jail? The issue is not the system for releasing individuals like this. The issue is the systemic nature that keeps people like this in depression, oppression, poverty, hostile and traumatic. This results in broken families as you can raise a family if the system is constantly and consistently putting their fathers in prison for things others would not be. Broken family results in trauma, a nervous system in survival mode constantly, continuous loops of instability and lack of education caused by the mentality to seek income however possible. One would think the communities their great and great-great grandparents built should have never been sunken into dozens of reservoirs across the South and interstates. When you shatter the foundation this is the outcome.
