Breaking into the oil and gas industry as an early career professional is genuinely hard.

Stop targeting only the oil majors (Chevron, Shell, Exxon, BP etc).
Also consider the service companies ( Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes etc). From here you can go work for an operator.

One thing my circle from the university did very well shortly after we graduated was never to hoard information from each other.

We were always sharing opportunities with each other.

No Whatsapp then, but we were using email like Whatsapp.

Almost all of us were also prepared: many wrote ICAN, CIS, CFA etc. Many made first class and strong 2:1.
