VP Sara Duterte to Blame for the Transfer of Atty. Zuleika Lopez to Women’s Correctional

I just wanted to point out that if you watch the full video, Vice President Sara asked General Torre if the cameras and the media can come closer… then, cue the tears of Atty. Zuleika Lopez. Lols

Don’t get me wrong! I generally feel bad for her. Imagine, all these are just to protect the Vice President from her questionable expenditures! All these just to protect the Vice President from the things she cannot explain.

According to the House Sergeant-at-Arms PMGen Napoleon Taas in a press conference this morning, his recommendation to transfer Atty. Zuleika Lopez to the women’s correctional facility is to ensure that the security of the institution is not being compromised. The defiance of the Vice President to the rules of the House requires additional security personnel to ensure her safety, sacrificing some of the important posts inside the institution.

The recommendation of the House Sergeant-at-Arms is out of concern for the safety of other detainees, Atty. Zuleika Lopez and the Vice President. As the women’s correction is more equipped to handle situations as such.

The Vice President insists on moving around the premises of the House of Representatives whenever she pleases. And insists on seeing Atty. Zuleika Lopez beyond five in the afternoon, something that is not in accordance to the rules
The Vice President has been releasing unsubstantiated security claims. If I were the House Sergeant-at-Arms, I will do whatever it takes to ensure that nothing bad will ever happen to the Vice President as it will reflect on the institution hence the lockdown and heightened security.

If you come to think of it, if the Vice President just followed the House rules, the Committee would not decide to transfer her to the women’s correctional facility. So… VP Sara has no one to blame but herself.

The midnight press conference of the Vice President with unsubstantiated claims, threats, bad words, concerning level of rage among other things might have brought some PTSD from FPRRD midnight briefings huh? But after the last twelve hours, I think it is safe to say that Vice President Sara Duterte is even worse than her father.

You want to know the truth? If you really really think about it, the Vice President really has no one to blame but herself. All these are happening because of her actions and her decisions.

The decision of the House Blue Ribbon Committee to transfer Atty. Lopez to the Women’s correction is warranted as it seems as though the Vice President cannot follow the rules of the House and is already compromising the security of the whole institution as she insists on staying despite numerous respectful notices.

If it wasn’t for protecting Vice President Duterte, the Fajarda couple, Ortonio and Acosta will be enjoying their weekends and not hiding from authorities as they are now cited in contempt for their absence in the committee hearing.

If there’s nothing to hide, if they have decent explanations… Why would employees of the Vice President sacrifice their peace of mind and liberty to avoid the questions of the Committee? Now more than ever, I think the House of Representatives is on the right track.

Also... What is wrong with the Veterans Memorial Center? They have top-notch doctors and health allied professionals. Why do you have to yell at the police officers? Of course they need to be there as your staff and allies have a track record of hiding from authorities!
