Ryu was the tragic baby who was also raised by Hima as the fourth infant at Ichikawa Zoo. He was born on June 9, 2019. His mother, Hana-chan, was a low-ranking female in the troop. Like Punch's mother, Hana-chan was initially unable to care for him, so the zookeepers stepped in and hand-raised him.
Ryu lived for six years, but sadly passed away due to conflicts within the troop. His story remains a heartbreaking one for those who followed his life.

Dad Miyakoshi was waiting for the hedgehog 🦔, but it seemed busy eating something, so he continued to wait patiently. The hedgehog's diet includes meat, green vegetables, and fruits 😋.

Punch went to Grandpa and lay down on him peacefully like a warm, affectionate grandson. 😪🥹
As usual, Punch tried to nibble at Grandpa's fur and groom him with his tiny hands. He seemed like a caring little grandson looking after his grandpa, although it mostly ended with him picking at the fur. 😁😁
Grandpa didn't mind at all. He remained patient and calm, as if he understood Punch's heart and intentions. ❤️
With that tiny innocent face and those little hands, Punch is definitely something special. He has a charm that makes him stand out from the others. 😊😊😊😊🐒✨

Finally, after a long time, my favorite monkey after punch and such a beautiful young lady! ❤️
She was the first monkey I became familiar with after Punch. In the early days, she protected and shielded him like a mother, and he even rode on her many times. 😪❤️ She has always given off pure big-sister vibes.
She is the most beautiful monkey after Kibe. 😚😚😚
Now she's stepping into her perfect adult stage, ready for marriage and busy learning all the cooking skills. 😅😅 That's why she's grinding spices preparing her secret monkey recipes before opening her five-star jungle restaurant!

😂😂 Punch joined Moe's troop, found the perfect spot, and instantly transformed into a tiny potato 🥔🍠 on sleep mode.
While everyone else is busy, Punch is over there looking like: "No thoughts. No worries. Only nap." 😴
And those sleepy eyes! 😂 It looks like he secretly borrowed some silver eye makeup before bed and forgot to take it off.

Momiage was sitting alone holding the baby monkey, but the baby didn't seem fully comfortable and appeared to be calling for its mother. A moment later, as Momiage was about to move, the baby nearly slipped and let out a frightened scream. 😟
Since the baby is still very young, it's probably best not to keep it for too long if it seems distressed. Young babies need frequent feeding, warmth, and comfort, which their own mother can provide best. Momiage may mean well, but the baby's needs come first. ❤️🐒
Of course, we can't know exactly what the baby was feeling, but the baby calling for its mother and screaming when startled could be signs that it wanted the security of being with mom. 🥺😟🐒

Moe and Punch were sitting in the corner, peacefully nibbling on leaves. All was well.
Suddenly, Punch's mischievous mode activated! He flopped down onto Moe like a 2.5 kg ball (his entire weight 😂).

This baby is practicing jumping hard. The first attempt was good enough, but the baby didn't seem satisfied.

The second jump was an utter failure. The third and fourth jumps were okay, but still not perfect enough for this little perfectionist.

The fifth one was a success! 👏👏

After finally getting it right, she happily left the place. 😀😀

Both dads left Punch to eat by himself, and Punch ate for a while. Then Shikano looked over at Punch, wondering what he was doing. As soon as Punch sensed his dad's gaze, he seemed to think his dad was calling him, so he immediately jumped onto Shikano. ❤️🐒
It might be hard for Shikano to get him away from his side now.

A few moments later, Punch suddenly wakes up, looks around for one second, and immediately starts munching snacks. 😋😁
Punch: "Problems? Drama? Angry monkeys? Not my business." 🤷🐒
This little king 👑 had a royal nap exactly where he wanted, then woke up only to continue his important snack-eating duties. 😂🍃🐒💤➡️😋
Sleep anywhere. Wake up. Eat snacks. Refuse to explain. That's the Punch lifestyle.

Miyakoshi tried his best to get Punch to go eat with the other monkeys. He even put Punch down halfway, but Punch refused and climbed right back onto him. First, Punch wrapped himself around Miyakoshi's neck because he was nervous about the other monkeys screaming, and then he covered Miyakoshi's face with his tiny hands especially his nose! 😂
