@RepMGP Both sides are to blame. Omnibus bills and riders are the status quo, regardless of which party is in control. You could always become an independent and caucus with the republicans. Doesn’t force your vote but maybe it would inspire actual compromise on major legislation.
@GadSaad@realBrandonGill@smithsonian .@GadSaad you’ve spent enough time in academia to know the concepts presented in your video have been standardized in diversity curricula in North America for decades. We have generations of people who have been required to sit in the exact lecture you presented six years ago.
@BreannaMorello@alisonintheknow The lack of real accountability is stunning. Our elected representatives often respond to We the People like we’re toddlers.
This legislation would just create more arbitrary economic classes. Why are universities allowed to accumulate billions in tax free wealth while simultaneously making school administrators wealthy? https://t.co/hFkn4Uew9D
Two Democratic lawmakers want to curb tax breaks for multimillion-dollar 401(k)s and IRAs, signaling a tax priority if Democrats take control of Congress. Here’s what the bill would do. https://t.co/X6uFZ2gPZm
.@RonWyden the University of Oregon’s endowment is $1.8 billion. Why are universities allowed to amass extraordinary tax free wealth while simultaneously paying top administrators high 7 and 8-figure salaries? https://t.co/AnNCRtJimJ
The University of Arkansas (@UArkansas) just filed a notice of intent to hire an H-1B alien worker Assistant Tennis Coach
Salary: $55,000
No American tennis coach was qualified for this job.
@IngrahamAngle .@IngrahamAngle - this may be a chicken or egg situation. I would argue that academia created many of the progressive ideologies. Those ideas, now validated by academia, were exported into society. An example of what is being taught in college classrooms. https://t.co/BDIQf0Ng7T
@FoxNews .@NancyMace federal appropriations to the Smithsonian are over $1 billion. If the director refuses to answer your questions, your chamber controls the purse strings. Defund them until they answer questions.https://t.co/vRnaRk4FdX
If the details outlined in @MallonElaine story are accurate, every member of the UCSD Med School search committee should be put under oath. If it was criminal, every student who was discriminated against should be awarded damages. https://t.co/6xh5KmDKM8
@FoxNews Rep Gill, it’s not hard to understand the origin story of the MASS Action Toolkit. Congress has been funding it for decades via higher education appropriations. These ideologies are rooted in critical theory. https://t.co/FlaFq75Z0b
Just a caution about student loan default - the government can: garnish up to 15% of your wages and withhold tax refunds and other federal benefits. https://t.co/aCBtEBb6k6
@MarshaBlackburn Regardless of one’s position, most people don’t listen to floor debates. Present your data using long-form platforms so you have time to make your entire argument and bring the receipts. If you have credible data, reasonable people will listen to the argument.
@PBDsPodcast@patrickbetdavid Something would have to give on the other end. A better incentive is a flat tax. Markets, and people, economically thrive via predictability. Maybe a lower flat tax rate could work for people under 30 so they could keep more of their earnings. Every voter needs skin in the game.
.@DaveRamsey I’m not sure falling for the student loan trap is always “dumb”. What’s dumb is that schools are financially exploiting people who aren’t old enough to buy alcohol. https://t.co/xPMqV2Qm3y
