i regret to inform you that personal growth rarely comes from acquiring new knowledge and almost always from:
-getting humiliated
-showing up terrified and doing it anyway
-admitting you might be the problem
Someone said their child talked so much at school the teacher moved her seat and sat her next to a non-verbal student and the non-verbal child started talking too😭😭
The point of funded accounts is to make enough capital with little investment to fund your real account.
They’re not meant to be kept forever, and most firms will ban you if you make too much anyway.
That’s why in order to succeed trading prop apart from a trading plan you need a risk plan and an expenses plan like regular businesses do.
One that makes sense in terms of not only profitability but also time wise. For example, trying to get funded on a single challenge for 6 months doesn’t make sense. Opportunity cost is too big.
On the other hand, blowing too much on challenges doesn’t make sense either. At that point, you should’ve jumped straight to live.
You need a proper balance between those 2.
One of the most common mistakes beginners make in trading is thinking they need a complicated strategy to become profitable.
They hear all these fancy terms and concepts and start looking for the solution in the wrong places.
The truth is, even very simple technical concepts can work.
The problem is rarely the strategy itself. Most of the time, it comes down to execution, discipline, and emotions getting in the way.
