@krae0098@ThinkingUSD No you just don't understand what you're talking about. Sound money means it can't be manipulated by a central bank. That attribute has no bearing on what people value it as. Just because the money is sound doesn't mean it's value won't swing wildly.
@krae0098@ThinkingUSD Well it is political because of the ideals behind it. The system we have today was developed by left wing economists. The alternative is free market oriented which is inherently right wing.
@krae0098@ThinkingUSD The Wallstreet bro was incentivised to participate in said reckless behavior because of the system he was operating in. And the government did not hold him accountable. The bad behavior was reinforced. A free market and true capitalism would not support that behavior. No bailouts
@krae0098@ThinkingUSD In a pure free market, the market dictates the interest rates and there's multiple competing currencies, all with different rates of inflation, exactly what the crypto market is today. This is the exact opposite of a centrally planned economy. Which is what we have in tradfi
@krae0098@ThinkingUSD You can have artificial suppression of interest rates and money printing under both socialist and "capitalist" economic systems. But those practices are diametrically opposed to a free market, which is the market that most capitalist advocate for.
@krae0098@ThinkingUSD Re-read my posts and point out where I said democrats are communist. The fed started under democrats and functions under a school of economic theory (kenseyian, MMT) that was developed by left wing economists.
@krae0098@ThinkingUSD The Fed was signed into law by Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat. In 1933, FDR, a Democrat, made it illegal for US citizens to own/trade gold. In 1974, Ford, a Republican, restored the right to own gold.
@krae0098@ThinkingUSD How would left wing economics even function with sound money? There's nothing in capitalism that requires the government to manipulate the money supply. Meanwhile left wing economics fundamentally rely on the governments ability manipulate the money supply.
@GemLocatorBSC@ThinkingUSD Money printing aka inflation has literally nothing to do with capitalism. The countries with the highest rates of inflation in the world are socialist. Bitcoin is pro free market, the antithesis of centrally planned economy, and inherently right wing.
@GemLocatorBSC@ThinkingUSD How will changing the monetary system fix problems created by "an inherently capitalistic world"?
The problems with the monetary system have nothing to do with capitalism and everything to do with fiat money.
@scp4151 @ThinkingUSD So if you're left wing and anti authoritarian, you're against the vax mandates and lockdowns? From what I've seen the left wing is consistently the pro authoritarian party.
