@Balancement @DavidCornDC @TheDemocrats While campaigning and hoping for a Senate super majority he had an ambitious goal. But didn't get the 60 senate seats. So didn't fight that losing battle. Had to chip away at ACA to get it passed. Who knows what he'd have done with 60 senators but he didn't get them.

@Balancement @DavidCornDC @TheDemocrats Dems haven't had 60 senators since the 95th Congress, 1977-79. With Carter. That's the last time Dems could push thru legislation without needing to get some Rs onboard.

@YDCHPH @DavidCornDC They will need 60 senate seats, last time they held 60 senate seats was in 1979. The 95th congress from 77-79 with Carter was the only time they could have made it happen.
