The Tartan Army are a credit to Scotland. Here they are in full voice singing ‘Loch Lomond’ in Boston Stadium last night for the World Cup match between Scotland and Haiti. Absolutely glorious.
Did make a Scottish friend for 10 minutes before he had to leave for the kilt walk for the Sox game, but he was telling me about the history of Scottish footy and he said, “Scottish football thrives on hatred” and I love that.
@ScotlandNT on fire, your defence is terrified...
Kinda. We did what we needed to do without matching the party levels of the last few days.
However, this rendition of Freed From Desire made up for all of it.
Another reminder, ⛔🏴⛔🎉
Now back to Providence to celebrate 🍻
The World Cup is the best sporting event in the world. A country that has a population less than New York City filled a stadium over 3,000 miles away and belted out their national anthem.
Sports are just the absolute best.
Scotland/Boston crossover is for me guys. This means something to me I literally cannot explain. My dream is to sing Loch Lomond at a Scotland Rugby match but somehow this has become a new dream, Loch Lomond in Gillette.
Never in my life have I been prouder to be Australian than when I heard a pub full of people erupt into cheers after seeing a 10 year old Turkish boy crying in the crowd.
