It is incontestable fact that many people are too stupid, too immature, too spiritually unprepared to understand the deeper esoteric truths. Too used to the darkness of ignorance, they would be left blind by the penetrating light of gnosis. For this reason, in every religion and esoteric philosophy, including Christianity, there has been two sets of teachings. Firstly, that simple exoteric teaching which is easily digestible by the masses and by the profane. And secondly, a secret inner teaching, revealed only to initiates and those actually capable/worthy of understanding its wisdom. Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 3:1-2 spoke to his congregation exactly this: “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.” You must make allowances for people’s varying degrees of consciousness in the world. Some are spiritual babies that can only handle milk. And not meat and solid foods. This is why Jesus spoke in parables: That those who had “ears to hear” would be able to make sense of the wisdom that the parables contained, translating the symbolism and allegory. What’s funny is that, because symbolism is the primary language of the subconscious, even the most stupid of those who hears this message… would have their consciousness altered upon hearing the stories. That was for the masses. The profane. The uninitiated. The spiritually sightless. Those unworthy of deeper teachings. However, when Jesus was alone with the disciples and away from the normies, it was a different story: He would privately explain and decode each parable and what each thing meant. Because they were capable and worthy of receiving it. Milk and meat. Namaste.
