The IDF has to demonstrate on a case-by-case basis that the civilians knew there is a terrorist base in the building AND wanted to shield it with their bodies, out of support. 🚨NEW: Israel tells its High Court it will keep blocking the evacuation of seriously ill Gaza residents to hospitals in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, claiming medical transfers pose “security risks.” The government said patient travel could be exploited for recruitment or information transfer, and for building “terrorist infrastructure.” Haaretz reports.

Five rights groups, including Gisha and Adalah, say Israel is violating Israeli and international law by denying life-saving care to Palestinians in Gaza, which remains under Israel’s control. Their lawyer called the policy “cruel, illegal and immoral,” warning it amounts to a death sentence for thousands.

Today, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said around 20,000 patients with approved referrals are now awaiting permission to leave Gaza for treatment.

The role of rabbis in the Gaza genocide will have to be studied. Many have taken the justifications of genocide in the bible, and maxims like " an eye for an eye" very seriously and preach it to soldiers.

Rabbis often gave 'pep talks' to soldiers. One remembers, "One time, the brigade rabbi sat down next to me and spent half an hour explaining why we must be just like they were on October 7. We must take revenge on all of them, including civilians. That we shouldn’t discriminate, and that this is the only way."

Another Rabbi, the infamous Rabbi Avraham Zarbiv, said, “Everything there is one big terrorist infrastructure. We changed the conduct of an entire army."

Rabbi Eliyahu Mali, The head of the Shirat Moshe religious school in Jaffa, a military preparation program, stated in March 2024 that the Israeli army should "not leave a single soul alive" in Gaza.

Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, the chief rabbi of Safad, he has a history of controversial statements. In 2007, he reportedly said Israel "must kill 100,000, even a million" people in Gaza.

Rabbi Ronen Shaulov, in a July 2025 speech, he publicly called for the total starvation of everyone in Gaza, regardless of age, referencing the biblical tale of Amalek.

Just because someone is a rabbi doesn't give them moral authority. It is a shame that our beautiful religion is being used systematically as a tool of genocide.

Since the ceasefire agreement took effect on 10 October 2025,
Israel has killed at least 241 Palestinians in Gaza, 117 of them children. More than 600 people have been injured.

Israel continues to hamper the entry of humanitarian aid and starve the population, denying about 75% of aid entry requests. It committed in the agreement to allow 600 aid trucks in a day, yet only 145 trucks on average have been allowed in.

The agreement did not establish an international mechanism to ensure Israel upholds its obligations under international law. Israel continues to bomb, starve and destroy Gaza unrestrained.

Most people in Gaza are homeless, hungry and lacking access to basic services, yet world leaders are standing by, issuing empty statements and enabling the normalization of this unbearable reality.

The international community must act now to ensure protection for Palestinians, the immediate entry of humanitarian aid, and accountability for those responsible for the genocide.

A clip by Swedish journalist Love Lysserides shows a side of West Bank colonization that most people are unaware of: most of the settlers aren't there for ideological reasons, but are "convenience settlers" - they moved to the West Bank for the affordable housing, "quality of life", beautiful view out of the window, tax benefits, etc.

It doesn't make them any less guilty, of course. It is the embodiment of the "banality of evil".

🚨 In blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, Israel has announced it will slash agreed aid shipments in half and keep the Rafah crossing closed, after Hamas returned four of the 28 bodies of Israeli captives believed to be in Gaza.

Hamas officials had repeatedly told mediators — and said in interviews with Drop Site since early October — that it would be “impossible” to locate and transfer all Israeli bodies within 72 hours of a ceasefire, given the scale of destruction. The ceasefire’s humanitarian protocol explicitly established a joint operations room — including Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, the U.S., Israel, and Hamas — to manage such complications, with Hamas required to submit all information it holds on living and deceased captives.

PIJ deputy leader Mohammed al-Hindi, in an interview on October 1 with Al Araby, said: “They demand the handover of [Israeli] prisoners in 72 hours. But even if they were all together in one house, or even buried in one grave, it would be impossible to hand them over in 72 hours. The situation is complicated, and everyone — Israel, America, and the mediators — knows it is complicated.”

According to Reuters who cited three Israeli officials, the Rafah crossing will remain closed through Wednesday, and aid deliveries will be sharply reduced. And Israeli outlets are claiming Hamas violated the deal, with Channel 12 citing an official alleging Hamas is “in severe breach” by not releasing more bodies. Egypt has reportedly deployed teams in Gaza to help locate them.

In a formal COGAT communication, Israel tied humanitarian aid directly to the return of bodies — a move amounting to collective punishment of a famine-stricken population:

“Yesterday, Hamas violated the agreement… As a result, political leadership has decided to impose a number of sanctions related to the humanitarian agreement. Starting tomorrow, only half of the agreed number of trucks — 300 — will be allowed to enter, all belonging to the UN and humanitarian NGOs. No fuel or gas will be allowed into the Strip, except for limited humanitarian needs.”

Senior Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzouk told Drop Site’s Jeremy Scahill last week that a prisoner exchange “would be impossible” while Israeli forces remain in Gaza’s population centers:

“We don’t know exactly where the prisoners are. Even the negotiators don’t know their locations. There cannot be an exchange if Israeli forces remain.”

Marzouk warned that Israel’s refusal to withdraw proves it “does not want Trump’s ceasefire plan to be implemented.”

As early as October 3, when Hamas first delivered its response to Trump’s plan, Marzouk said on television that locating remains “would take months” after Israel destroyed and blocked off delivery of desperately needed heavy machinery. It would be “impossible” in 72 hours.
