Good example of what can happened when the state removes all barriers and “say” to the society - it’s possible to do this without any consequences. As #Belarus did in August 2020, giving the carte blanche to the security forces. As the result - uni adopts unlawful practices

#Belarusian human rights defender, who is in prison now, got a @NobelPrize. And 2 HRD NGOs - Rus. and Ukr. The best decision which could be for the understanding that #HumanRights are the base for the security. And security in our countries matters for the Europe and the world.

Yesterday finally @Belhelcom has got #ECOSOC consultative status. It was a way for more than 5 years, 🇷🇺and 🇨🇳 were constantly blocking the process with their endless formal empty questions.
So, now @Belhelcom is the first #Belarusian NGO with this status

The circumstances changed, the status of my country changed - from county which kill its own people to country which help to kill others. But still the situation in Belarus as an example of #BHR agenda in authoritarian regime did not disappeared. People are still suffering.

I have long seen that the UN as a mechanism is in the deepest crisis, but there are some small things of daily management such as, for ex, what can or can not be written in a official account of UN HUMAN RIGHTS today. Just a little brain is enough for it.

@Belhelcom call on Telegram, Apple, Google take measures to stop and prevent in the future disseminating via Telegram of the materials, violating human rights: so called “confession videos” which now is common practice of #Belarus law enforcement agencies.
