WHAT IS STILL FAKE
Payments. Nothing is charged, and the earnings on the sample pages are examples.
A film you release is not stored yet. The form tells you so at the end.
Profile edits live in your own browser.
5,162 of the films are here because whoever put them on the Internet Archive marked them public domain. Nobody checked. Their pages say that, with a link to report a mistake.

Two museums turned my script away at the door. I left them out. It is their door.
Today I compared everyone's credits with IMDb's public data. The pages show about 5% of them. A typical person has 1 credit here and 40 there. That one stings.
WHAT WENT WRONG
I deleted the view counter while reworking the marketplace and did not notice for a day.
On a phone the film page was 3,185 pixels wide. The phone is 390.
The Internet Archive answers about one question a second. I asked ten at once to go faster. It answered each of them in ten seconds. So the catalogue is read one film at a time, and about 19,000 films still show no running time. They play anyway.
CREATE
Day 1: one upload flow that sent nothing anywhere.
Day 3: forms that show what you are making while you type. Add a credit, share an asset, release a film. And a dashboard that counts real views and downloads, and labels every dollar on it as an example.
UPLOADS
Day 1: the progress bar was an animation. The file never left your computer.
Day 3: files really upload, signed by your wallet. 25 MB each. Small, but real.
WALLETS
Day 1: no wallet pages at all.
Day 3: any Ethereum wallet has a page that shows what it made: its collections, its mints, a page for every token. ENS names sit next to the addresses.
PEOPLE
Day 1: one filmmaker I made up, with $82,190 of earnings I also made up.
Day 3: 6,665 real people, each with a page and real credits from Wikidata. Only people who are no longer alive. Nobody living gets listed as a member of something they never joined.
FILM PAGE
Day 1: a picture of a player.
Day 3: the film plays. Chapters under it, real view counts, reviews, a list for later. The next film starts by itself, and the keyboard works the way it does on every player you know.
THE MARKETPLACE
Day 1: eight items I invented.
Day 3: about 29,000 free files. Footage, music, sound effects, photographs. Since today also 14,000 works from three museums that opened their collections and 5,800 books from Project Gutenberg. T
FILMS
Day 1: "Last Train to Kars". A documentary that does not exist, over a stock photo.
Day 3: 25,832 films you can press play on. Features, cartoons, newsreels, serials, early television, home movies, and classroom films from the 1950s that teach you posture.
Three days of @deindotart.
Day 1: invented films, 8 made-up marketplace items, a search box that did nothing.
Now: 25,832 public-domain films, 6,665 people with real credits, about 29,000 free files.
Payments are still fake. Still no promises.

0/8 It's been a long time since I've been active here. But I decided to break the silence with this thread. π§΅
Three years ago I had an idea I couldn't build (Our Studio). Even after all these years I still couldn't get it out of my head. But since then the AI got much better...
