Today’s blog is on a first-ever History Walk at the Hebrew Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill. It was very cool! I hope they host another one next year. The blog: https://t.co/nGWOOe0wrx
Today’s blog is a look back to 1998 and the first year of the Arconic (Alcoa) Junior Bix race for children, part of the QCT Bix 7 activities. Our daughter was one of the many kids lost (and found) at that event: https://t.co/gZiByJtlFP
Today’s blog is on the wonderful grandchildren in the Baker family, all of whom are active and, in my opinion, “above average.” The blog: https://t.co/5jv7JJrDVg
Words are difficult to find this morning. Steve Batterson, a sports reporter at the Quad-City Times for 38+ years, died Tuesday afternoon. He was a consummate pro, a workhorse, a great teammate and such a kind-hearted man. He loved his job and did it very well. Rest easy, Batts.
Remembering our friend, Batts. He loved his job, sports of all types and levels, his friends and mostly his family. We will miss your professionalism, enthusiasm, silliness and naughty giggles. RIP Steve. ❤️
Today’s blog is on the fun-to-watch sport of fast-pitch softball. Steve’s grandson Mick was in a Walcott tournament this past weekend. Here’s the blog: https://t.co/NoYhBN8y8I
Today’s blog is my first, on gardening, since Oct. 24, 2022. It’s about a catalog company that I found, somehow, about 20 years ago: https://t.co/7J1yLl3oUb
This very public Iowa State Cyclones sports fan had a blast, this year, in following the Iowa Hawkeye women’s team and its star, Caitlin Clark. Here’s the blog: https://t.co/I1JRCgJ6M4
