Gratitude therefore takes nothing for granted, is never unresponsive, is constantly awakening to new wonder and to praise of the goodness of God. Thomas Merton
We highly recommend this movie. It is a beautifully gentle film about grief, healing, and finding family in unexpected places. Enjoy! It is heartwarming!
The Montreal Victoire won the Walter Cup, the championship trophy of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). With this victory, the Victoire became the first Canadian-based franchise to hoist the Walter Cup. Félicitations! Bravo! La ville est en ébullition ce soir!
@CBSNews “I got a cancer diagnosis nine weeks ago. I come to work every day, and I think that sets an example for everyone around me.” With care, Susie Wiles can definitely make her own choices, but the part of her statement that goes too far is “this sets an example” for others.

Tchaikovsky’s magnificent Fifth Symphony – loved it! Seats not so much. Seats were on sale, and the balcony height and the incline depth triggered balance issues. Time to close my eyes and enjoy the music! Our lunch at Earl’s Kitchen + Bar was delicious!

Gracious God, we give you thanks for the pastoral ministry of Bishop Miehm. We are grateful for his leadership and his care for the Diocese of Peterborough. May your Spirit fill him with strength, wisdom, and joy as he shepherds the people of the Diocese of London.
Let’s continue to pray that Pope Leo XIV champions peace and justice, that his message takes root in the hearts of all leaders, prompting them to pursue peace with authenticity, integrity, and right relationship.
Thank you @BishopBarron for finally taking a stand for goodness. We are praying for @Pontifex. It is time for Trump to apologize to His Holiness and to mercifully resign from the presidency.
The statements made by President Trump on Truth Social regarding the Pope were entirely inappropriate and disrespectful. They don’t contribute at all to a constructive conversation. It is the Pope’s prerogative to articulate Catholic doctrine and the principles that govern the moral life. In regard to the concrete application of those principles, people of good will can and do disagree. I would warmly recommend that serious Catholics within the Trump administration–Secretary Rubio, Vice President Vance, Ambassador Brian Burch, and others–might meet with Vatican officials so that a real dialogue can take place. This is far preferable to the statements on social media.
I am very grateful for the many ways that the Trump administration has reached out to Catholics and other people of faith. It has been a high honor to serve on the Religious Liberty Commission. No President in my lifetime has shown a greater dedication to defending our first liberty. All that said, I think the President owes the Pope an apology.
