I grew up on classic point-and-click adventures.
Now I’m making one set in 1993 in Czechoslovakia.
A message. A missing nameplate. A case that slowly starts to feel wrong.
Wild East: The Straw Man
Some stories do not start with a gunshot.
They start with a signature.
A name on paper.
A small lie that becomes someone else's problem.
A slow 2D point-and-click detective story set in 1990s Czechoslovakia.

So I am making Wild East: The Straw Man.
A classic 2D point-and-click detective adventure set in 1990s Czechoslovakia.

It is 2026.
Everything wants to be faster.
Shorter.
Louder.
But sometimes I miss the kind of game where you could stare at the same room for 20 minutes because one tiny detail might matter. 1/5
4/5
That is the kind of detective story I want to play.
Not one about explosions or car chases.
One about noticing what does not fit.
A date.
A name.
A missing file.
A person who says a little too little.
3/5
That slower rhythm fits the 1990s in Czechoslovakia strangely well.
Old offices.
Apartment blocks.
Local newspapers.
Paper documents.
Signatures.
People trying to understand a system that was changing faster than they were.
2/5
1993 felt different.
No quest markers.
No daily rewards.
No battle pass.
Just a room, a few objects, a strange conversation, and the quiet suspicion that the answer was already on the screen.
Broken Sword, Indiana Jones, Simon the Sorcerer, The Curse of Monkey Island, Agent Mlicnak...
to boli casy
Co tak zazit ten pocit znova?
Len tentokrat v Ceskoslovensku 90te roky
