Most long-term relationships aren't actually held together by "passionate love" anymore. They are held together by a survival pact. It’s an agreement to split the crushing weight of adulthood. The internet wants you to believe that love is endless romance, but by year seven, love is just looking at your partner in the dark and saying, "The world is absolutely brutal out there, let's just try not to make it harder for each other today."
Frankenstein wasn't written by a man. It wasn't even written by an adult. It was written by an 18-year-old girl... on a dare. In 1816, Mary Shelley was stuck in a mansion during a storm. Lord Byron challenged everyone to write a ghost story. She had nightmares of a scientist who builds life, and regrets it. That became Frankenstein. But this wasn't just horror. It was the first science fiction novel ever written.
Before women could vote. Her story predicted artificial intelligence. Bioengineering. The ethics of creation. It asked: If man plays God... who pays the price? They said a woman couldn't have written it. Publishers erased her name. Gave credit to her husban, poet Percy Shelley. For years, people assumed he wrote it.
Or helped her. Or "cleaned it up." But Mary's notes proved otherwise. The genius was hers.
I shares stories about women, daily
Out of ten men, one makes a sexual joke at a woman, two laugh, three fake a chuckle to fit in, and four stay silent. None of them speak up. Later, nine of them still believe they're the "good guys." But from the woman's perspective, the laughter, the silence, the looking away, it all creates the same environment. So when women say"most men are the same," this is what they mean: not that every man harasses women, but that most men help protect the system that does.
“Para algunos vivir es galopar un camino empedrado de horas, minutos y segundos. Yo más humilde soy y solo quiero que la ola que surge del último suspiro de un segundo, me transporte mecido hasta el siguiente…”

la importancia de flexibilizar el pensamiento, de no cerrarnos en una postura rígida, de abrirnos a la duda reflexiva, de poder resignificar e incluso cuestionar lo que pensamos. Amigarnos con la ambivalencia inevitable que existe entre la respuesta y la pregunta.
