@sisterlelianas It's bizarre to me. At a certain point it's more OOC than not for Varric to avoid talking about Hawke or for Harding to only vaguely mention her time in the Inquisition. I know they want to keep the current story moving but it's an odd choice when there are recurring companions
@tentakrool The D&D movie could have been any system for sure, they used the name’s prestige.
BG3 might have been more difficult as a Pathfinder game. Owlcat’s games are great but complex. 5e hits a sweet spot for being easily understandable but mechanically interesting in a video game
@xxceus After ten years and fanfic, I'm pretty happy with where they are now. Left their stories open, but each new cameo will shift headcanons a little. It's not lack of love for them but an excess of it that makes me want to hear about them but not have them play a major role
@xxceus To be honest, not really? I want a satisfying end for them for sure and therefore however much screen time will accomplish that, but I want this game to be my Rook's story and not the Inquisitor show
@tunesykari They don’t need them but it’s much harder to cast without one since it focuses the spirit connection - check out Three Trees to Midnight in Tevinter Nights for a description of how it feels for an average mage to cast without a staff!
@LarAtLarian Your process in BG3 and in previous games seems to include significant iteration post-launch. Have you experienced differences in how that iteration is received by fans between DOS2 and BG3 and do you see that impacting your process for future games?
@LarAtLarian What does your process for filtering and weighing feedback from so many different sources (forums, social media, discord, official feedback reporting) look like? How do you choose what to implement?
@LarAtLarian What inspired the change from Daisy to the Guardian late enough that Daisy appears in the art book, and how did that impact the narrative as a whole?
