@DanBiggles22 the answer is to go back to the days when cycling was semi professional and riders weren't willing to risk their lives for a prime that now pays $5000
@unclecycling@petosagan Thank you for this thread. Surrounded my lies and conspiracy theories on X where people simply make things up, we bring you this thread on Peter Sagan. It is a pity so much stuff is just made up on X. I am careful not to draw a straight line here of course.
@CoxyJindas But there are only limited resources to address it, mostly due to health care for injured victims requiring 5 x the resources that would have been needed to prevent it.
@ringsau Exactly. There's precedent for absolving athletes who could prove corticosteroid ingestion through a cream applied to skin. Maybe not the precedent Sinner would choose to lean on ๐
@BenFordhamLive there must be a small part of your soul that leaves your body every time you are compelled to trot out ridiculous "strong opinions" like this
@bicycle_network The evidence shows that almost all pedestrian trauma is caused by motor vehicles. Riding a bike through a red light is still illegal, but so is smoking pot.
Absolute shitshow at @mtbuller. Parked at P1 and waiting for village shuttle. Running massively over capacity due to lack of buses with everyone having paid extortionate prices to wait around for shuttle. Don't even think about coming up here on the weekend.
@BicycleAdagio If she were hit by a bicycle courier who was weaving in traffic, I doubt they'd be so quick to urge leniency. People are really conditioned to forgive dangerous driving. Most likely as it's something many of us can empathise with.
@NickJMButler There are a whole lot of sports fans who read and comment on doping matters, judging an athlete who is also reading about doping matters. If it's just that he read an article, that's not very suspicious.
