One of the most influential signings of this era. He was the first to buy into the project and helped to change the trajectory of the club.
I'll never forget his performance in the cup final, stupendously good.
All the best, Kieran ๐ค๐ค
Thank you, Tripps ๐ค๐ค
After four and a half years of incredible service to Newcastle United, we can confirm that Kieran Trippier will leave the club this summer when his contract expires.
Kieran arrived in January 2022 with the club in the relegation zone and played a crucial role as he went on to lift the clubโs first domestic trophy in 70 years.

People get far too angry at those who have a different opinion to them on here. Football performances are subjective, you're allowed a different opinion to others, debate that respectfully, I just don't think it's that hard.
Ultimately, there are valid points on both sides of the Howe in/out debate. There's absolutely no doubt that performances have dropped despite huge spending this summer. Has he reached his capacity? Can he manage a team with such a heavy schedule? On the flip side...
@RobYoun29453972 I don't think they're actively doing it, I think it's a mentality thing. But I agree, it's up to the manager to identify it and rectify it.
@DarrelBirkett I have the same questions, and I don't know what the right answer is but I just feel in my gut that it's not the right time to let him go.
@TheRiotAct9 I think I'm the same as you. Changing managers all the time just doesn't seem to be the answer elsewhere and I don't know that it's the answer here. Obviously if things got consistently worse, then maybe, but I do honestly believe we will get better. Maybe I'm foolish ๐
@RobYoun29453972 I see what you're saying, but he and his players have said he tells them the opposite, so where is it coming from? I honestly haven't got a clue
It's a fair debate and it should be respectful. We all want what's best for NUFC, we just differ in how we think that will happen. I guess we just wait and see what happens.
He has brought us 2 seasons of CL football, won our first trophy in forever, and played some beautiful football. We've strengthened but not how we wanted and lost some top players, do we give him more time with the lessons learnt from this season and last summer?
@yourboykweezy@Im_RobM Until this window just gone we hardly backed him, thanks to PSR. This window ended up a disaster, whether that's all on Howe, I think we will disagree.
@kevnufc1983@OfficielKaybaye I don't know. Something isn't right but what you're saying doesn't match up with what Howe is telling us he instructs the lads to do ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
@OfficielKaybaye I'm not disputing that he has to shoulder a lot of the responsibility but he's adamant that is not what he is asking the players to do. So why are they?
@Alan19673 If I had seen Bruce do the same as I've seen Howe do, yes. It's got nothing to do with who he is, is got everything to do with his whole time here, everything I've seen. He has a bit more time for me, if things don't improve, then I reluctantly agree he has to go.
