An Arangetram is supposed to be a sacred moment—a student’s humble ascent to the stage after a decade of devotion to Bharatanatyam. Instead, it has morphed into a multi-lakh/multi-dollar corporate industry.
Many families are being quietly pressured into an institutional "Arangetram Scam" driven by hidden markups, forced vendor monopolies, and pure social status anxiety.
👉 The Live Orchestra kickbacks
👉 Costumes & Jewellery cartel
👉 The exclusive "Margam" fee Emotional extraction
👉 Venue theaterics
👉 Audio, Video, Photography & PR potholes
Not to talk about Chief Guest fee, Gifts and Dinner. Pure vanity 🙄
From minimum 1.5L it goes to 12L basis the exploitation of status symbols.
Only few parents have identified this and opting for Arangetram at Temples, Rent on outfits, direct invoicing etc.
Art is not an asset class. When we turn a sacred debut into a status symbol, we trade culture for a corporate invoice. Let’s bring the focus back to Bhavam and Thalam, and leave the bribes and kickbacks off the stage.
An Arangetram should test a dancer’s stamina, not a parent’s life savings. If the stage costs more than the skill, it’s not an art form anymore—it’s an auction.
Let’s stop buying applause for money and appreciate pure talent and Lord Nataraja save us 🙏
What does an effective virtual classroom session actually look like?
BigBlueButton co-founder Fred Dixon opens BigBlueButton World 2026 with the keynote "The World Needs More BigBlueButton: Open, Sovereign, and Built for Education and Collaboration."
Effective learning isn't about adding more AI to the classroom. It comes from authentic engagement between learner and educator. Humans learn best from humans. In this keynote, Fred looks at how learning theory has shaped BigBlueButton's design from the beginning, where the project is headed next, and why an open-source virtual classroom matters for institutions and governments that need secure, sovereign collaboration at scale.
Day 1 — Tuesday, June 23 at 14:00 UTC. Free to attend.

Thank you Rajkumar and the team at @ICICIBank_Care for the followup. I do not know why the KYC failed so many times in the past although I am an existing customer. However, I finally got the @ICICIBank Amazon Pay Credit Card and everything is fine. Issue resolved. Thanks again!
I am an existing credit card customer of @ICICIBank. I never missed a payment and have a good credit score. I applied for the Amazon Pay credit card and it is stuck in ICICI Credit Review since 4 April 2026. Customer care always tell me to wait 7 days.@ICICIBank_Care please help!
@ICICIBank_Care What is the date of the seventh day from 23 April 2026? Either mathematics works differently for you and me, or you just don't care about any commitments you give to the customer.
Even ChatGPT will tell you the steps to do video KYC for the ICICI Amazon card. I have the same name across documents but system still gives name mismatch. I sent a detailed email about the issue to @ICICIBank_Care and all I get is a nonsense tempalte response from Shaik Mahaboob
@ICICIBank_Care Yes, please ask anyone in @ICICIBank_Care other than this idiot Shaik Mahaboob who has repetedly given the same stupid template response to help. I do not need steps for video KYC. I want to know the real status of my credit card application. I have emailed you in detail again!
I am from Karnataka and my mother tongue is Kannada.
We have to protect our regional identity - that is the strength of this country.
- Key excerpts from my speech at Ponneri, Tamil Nadu.
Tuesday was a black day for India. Friday has seen redemption in measures I could not have imagined.
For the first time in more than 30 years, a bill introduced by the government has failed to pass in the Lok Sabha. I am glad that it is this bill, which was conceived with malicious intent and without any logic, that has been defeated.
Parties that would ordinarily have been convinced of short-term benefits from an increase in seats have upheld oppositon unity to control the dictatorial tendencies of the government.
It is a sign that a politics of principles still exists in India, that there is still hope for a brighter future.
This is the turning point we have been waiting for. When he launched the election campaign, Chief Minister Thiru @mkstalin said “Tamil Nadu shall fight, Tamil Nadu shall win.”
Today, I am grateful to say: Tamil Nadu has fought, Tamil Nadu has won. India has fought, India has won.
PS: I am glad to be back in a white shirt, as the April heat in Madurai is not conducive to black shirts
@TITTUCOOL A Andra resturant voluntarily using Telugu is different from the imposition of Hindi by the Union Government of India. There is no need to create unnecessary hatred. Let Andra hotels in Bangalore use Telugu, let Kannada hotels in Hyderabad use Kannada. There is no imposition here
@ICICIBank_Care An idot called Shaik Mahaboob who claims to be a Senior Customer Service Manager, Team ICICI Bank, has replied to my email with the most stuipid and idiotic nonsense template response. I know how to do Video KYC. I want help from @ICICIBank_Care about the specific issue.
@prettycyb3rgirl HTTPS is 443. Sometimes we confuse with port 80 used for HTTP. Anyway, there are not many reasons to continue using HTTP for web pages on the Internet anyway!
@kovaisandhya I do not understand Hindi but if I recognize they are speaking in Hindi, I always try to talk with them in Tamil. Even if they later switch to English, unless I am really interested in their offer, I continue to talk with them in Tamil until they get frustrated and hang up.
@MyIndusIndBank Priyanka from @MyIndusIndBank called and helped me with temporary credit and refunding it to my bank account. I appreciate that! I am still waiting for @MyIndusIndBank, @AxisBankSupport, and @Razorpay to complete the investigation and arrive at a final and permanent resolution.
@MyIndusIndBank , I understand that @AxisBankSupport has clarified that they have identified and reversed the transactions, but it still shows as temporary credit in your system. Can you tell me what is the final resolution for my issue?
@AxisBankSupport@MyIndusIndBank The @AxisBank Kochi One Metro Card is a great product and I now consider the issue I raised with @AxisBankSupport resolved. Thanks to everyone in the phone and social media support the call back and the follow-up. I will wait for update from @MyIndusIndBank.
Card reload transactions on my @AxisBank Kochi One Metro Card failed but I got charged. Since 20 Dec 2025, I have contacted email and phone support several times and the issue remains unresolved. Now they don't even reply to my email. Please help!!!
@AxisBankSupport Thanks to Priyanka from @AxisBankSupport for calling me and I consider the issue resolved from your side. I will continue to followup with @MyIndusIndBank bank regarding the credit. Thanks for all the help and support and expect the same in future as well.
