Not all prep and post grads are what they seem. Please do your research before paying any money. Lesson learned @Rayshawn0204 landed on his feet with a full ride but alot of those other athletes wasted their money and still no school while that bum profited off them. Next stop NCAA

DD2 Skips Over NC 2019 Coach of the Year in Filling FDHS Head Football Coach Job

Dorchester County, S.C. (Dec. 15, 2023) -- While the selection process for the Fort Dorchester High School Head Football Coach job has been shrouded in secrecy, DD2 and its School Board hired Shaun Lorenzano over Glenwood Ferebee, the 2019 NC Conference and Region Coach of the Year.

In an interview today with #dd2schoolsunwrapped, Ferebee confirmed he was a finalist for the job and noted that "sometimes it happens you know someone," adding that "it's not uncommon in high school sports."

Ferebee serves as Virginia Tech’s director of high school relations after working as a high school head football coach for eight seasons. He served as head coach at Julius Chambers High School in Charlotte, North Carolina from 2019 to 2021 where he helped the program to a 38-5 record in three seasons.

Lorenzano had a 14-17 record over the last three seasons and 23-27 over the last 5 seasons, according to the website MaxPreps. Ferebee was named the conference and region coach of the year in 2019 and won the state championship in 2019 and 2020.

Ferebee served as head coach at Indian River High School in Chesapeake, Virginia, from 2014-18 where he piloted a program to a 47-16 record over five seasons. During his time at Indian River, Ferebee coached Tech DB Devon Hunter to high school All-America status. He was named the conference coach of the year in 2018, 2015 and 2014 while he earned the honor from the region in 2018 and 2015. Ferebee helped Indian River win the southern district championship in 2018.

Prior to those head coaching stints, Ferebee served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Hampton University during the 2013 season. He also served as the head coach at Lakeland High School in Suffolk, Virginia from 2008-12.

Ferebee graduated with a degree in multidisciplinary studies from Liberty University in 2003. The Virginia Beach, Virginia, native also has experience as a special education teacher.
