why did this make me so happy i teared up a little? NOT A LOT. a little.
10 years ago i didn’t even really understand what a #1 album meant, but then ever since blurryface i kind of really wanted it again, but never got it.
then i stopped wanting it and just wrote an album for you. for us.
and that’s when you guys showed up bigger than ever. you did this. buying vinyl, or a box set, or going to listening events, or streaming and telling other people. thank you so much.
this is the most proud i’ve ever been to be a part of this band.
if you only knew how many industry people are confused right now.

No sé si conocen la historia de la Locomotora Oliveras. A los 15 quedó embarazada de un infeliz que la recagaba a palos estando embarazada. Él tenía 30. El padre y todos en el pueblo la juzgaban, por gorda, por puta embarazada, por todo. Solita empezó a entrenar con baldes para salir de esa situación de violencia, hasta que un día pudo meterle una piña a su maltratador y defender a su primer hijo. La historia es más grande y la cuenta Agustina Kampfer en el libro Las Parturientas, donde la entrevistó. Tengan mucho respeto antes de hablar de ella, muchísimo. Ella sabe el porqué de cada uno de los músculos que sacó para defenderse de una vida de desigualdades, que la quería marginar a ser invisible, silenciada y pobre. Es un ejemplo de mujer, a la que le piden un tipo de corrección que jamás se la han pedido a ningún deportista varón profesional. Merece todo nuestro respeto.
