Trump’s victory promises to shake up US energy and environmental policy, with sweeping implications for oil production, offshore wind development and electric vehicle sales. Here's what's expected. https://t.co/lLCXmUgu3m
Odds of a child getting kidnapped are ~1 in a million.
Odds of a child born in 2021 dying in a traffic crash are ~1 in 93.
Parents act like these stats are reversed. Paranoid about rare kidnappings and naive about the common driving.
(Natl Safety Council tracks this stuff)
@MikeJohnstonCO But how about we get Denver’s transit to match NYC and SF so we don’t have all these new hires bringing their cars and making our city less walkable and more polluted.
That’s not how abortion works, Donald.
This is the man who wants to control your health care access and he never fails to lie about abortion and reproductive health care. Almost like he’s seriously unqualified. #Debate2024
Donald Trump opens the debate falsely claiming that migrants are "taking over" the "town" of Aurora, Colorado. City leaders and Aurora Police have said a Venezuelan gang has not taken over apartment buildings, let alone the entire city of Aurora, population 400,000. #copolitics
Why do the majority of "real cyclists" (=spandex, racing bike, clipped in, leaning forward) feel it unnecessary to signal their turns or announce their passing when riding in urban areas? Drives me bonkers. I can't read your mind about which way you're turning!
Hi @RideRTD - just wondering if youth will still ride free after August 2024? It’s been such a great program for my daughter and her classmates to utilize transit for getting to and from school!
@5280FT@denverparksrec@jolonclark They shouldn’t. Anyone can park their car on the perimeter of the park and walk into it. There are several parking lots around the park and on nearby steeets. Everyone has a right to fresh air and safe spaces to recreate.
Parks should be a place of refuge from the usual stressors of city life. Namely: traffic, parking violations, & tailpipe exhaust. @denverparksrec refuses to implement this... City Park was a mess of traffic this weekend, rendering it unsafe. @jolonclark can we make change? 🌎 🙏🏼
@se_slaughter2@denverparksrec@jolonclark No one has ever proposed a plan that would limit access for those with mobility limitations. The would still be parking for those who need it. The parking at present blocks ADA access, so really the current situation is restricting park use to certain people.
