@sallymhamilton@Sally Update on @SoEnergyUK : Today’s bulk disclosure is partial, but the internal notes included actually confirm written DSAR breaches and severe tracking delays. Let me know if you want sight of the partial disclosures containing these admissions!
@sallymhamilton I’ve emailed you about So Energy/ESB and a DSAR now 220+ days outstanding, despite repeated escalation to the ICO and ESB governance. Full evidence available.
Did I use the right email?
@elonmusk I’m a UK Starlink customer. A think tank proposes adding £11/month to home broadband bills to fund the BBC even for people who don’t watch it. If adopted and applied to Starlink, would you collect it or fight it?
@sallymhamilton I have a CCJ against an energy provider for a 118 day DSAR delay. A second DSAR that is outstanding made on 02/02/2026 that took them a court case, s.167 compliance order mentioned ( submitted now ) and over 7 months for them to admit it. They also made a threat in their defence
Update: @SoEnergy has now admitted my 2 Feb Article 15 DSAR “was not progressed” and caused an “unacceptable delay”.
Their County Court Defence said it “was already issued”.
220+ days later, I’ve now filed a s.167 application for compliance.
@FursieRS6@SoEnergyUK@WhichUK@Telegraph@DailyMail@ICOnews also, as they look into these issues. You have a company withholding a PSR customers DSAR since 02.02.2026 and won’t move and complete the DSAR until a Law suit exists. Forcing a PSR customer into legal action just to obtain their data rights
. @SoEnergyUK Following your compliance failure on my first claim (attached), your deadline to address the outstanding 02/02/2026 DSAR has expired. I suggest a senior manager calls me tomorrow morning to settle this, or MCOL 2 will be issued without further delay.
@FursieRS6@SoEnergyUK@WhichUK@Telegraph@DailyMail@ofgem absolutely should be looking into this, regulated suppliers have licence conditions, ignoring multiple DSAR and ignoring the UK judiciary and failing to comply with a judges unless order I would assume is a breach of conditions. I think they look at patterns of issues.
@FursieRS6@SoEnergyUK@WhichUK They can add a loss override at anytime to let you swap with a balance. They obviously chose to not afford you that option. I think until a consumer champion like the @Telegraph or @DailyMail look into them. Nothing will change sadly.
@FursieRS6@SoEnergyUK That’s disgusting, it shouldn’t take 6 months and external pressure to fix a basic issue. @WhichUK rated them lowest in complaints for a reason. Overall 44%

@FursieRS6@SoEnergyUK That is exactly what they do with me, you call their front line staff who can’t handle legal disputes and they’re told not to transfer me to anyone who can. They try exhausting you in hopes you give up. Doesn’t work with me tho, DSAR is a strict liability in UK law. They know it
@FursieRS6@SoEnergyUK No, they’ll just ignore the issue. I’ll file the second MCOL. Take them to court for a second CCJ. Rather than calling once.
I’ve been waiting for their call back since February.
They’d rather risk damage to their credit score than have a conversation.
@ESBGroup your subsidiary @SoEnergyUK ignore DSAR and Court claims all the way to default judgments. Can you assist with compliance standards. I still have an outstanding DSAR 02/02/2026 that’s been 100% ignored and is headed to MCOL because SO Energy refuse to pick up the phone
@sallymhamilton Look at how @SoEnergyUK handles a pre-action warning for a second County Court claim. After already getting struck out and paying £1,300+ on Friday to handle their first CCJ, their frontline team is still trying to route legal notices into a broken help queue
Hey @SoEnergyUK, any reason your team is completely ghosting County Court Claim N6QZ803K? Default judgment has been requested, your defense was struck out. The claim is over the £600 threshold, next step is bypassing your inbox and handing this straight to High Court Enforcement.
@ICOnews@SoEnergyUK The SAR deadline from my submission 02/02/2026 is almost up, can you confirm you plan on completing my request or will this be a second breach @SoEnergyUK
@SoEnergyUK I’ve waited 118 days for a Subject Access Request you were legally obliged to complete in 30.
No DPO acknowledgment. No Article 82 response. ICO and Ombudsman already involved.
How many breaches will it take before you take responsibility? #gdpr#DataRights#SoEnergy
@ICOnews@SoEnergyUK with no response.
Can @SoEnergyUK explain this delay publicly? Instead of a private message that states a SAR was issued on 15/01/2026.
@elonmusk When it takes Elon Musk to warn about Britain’s direction while our own politicians sit on their hands, you know something is seriously broken. UK freedoms deserve better than this silence. Thank you @elonmusk
